It’s hard dating someone who won’t give you the time of day. Su-ae Shim knows that better than anyone, having dated her indifferent boyfriend, Minu Kang, for years. She sometimes wishes she could be more like her charismatic stepsister, Ra-im, who seems to have it all. But life takes a turn for the weird when Su-ae discovers Jellypop, a sentient flip phone, in her locker. Jellypop has a lot to say about her love life, especially as Su-ae drifts further away from Minu and finds herself running into Minu’s friend, Eunhyeok. Add to the mix a growing suspicion that Minu and Ra-im might be more than friends, and Su-ae might need a miracle to navigate the ups and downs of high school romance!

CHAPTER 1-27 Review
I first stumbled upon this web comic on Webtoon. My interest was piqued the moment I laid my eyes upon the cover art because the artstyle is totally my type.
Source: Pinterest
The story starts off in quite an interesting note. The female lead, Su-ae, is in possession of a device where she can see how much love a person will receive and give in their lifetime. If you watched Death Note, she kinda has shinigami eyes but with a cupid filter.
Source: anigliscans
The problem is, she can also see her own love meters but to her shock and confusion, both the love she will receive and give in her lifetime is 0.

The premise is very intriguing and promising and the art is absolutely, a solid 10/10, however, the characters are very unlikeable and the story telling is a bit all over the place.
This comic is full of tea, like, there's cheating, jealousy, betrayal, scheming. The drama in its tag is that kind of drama.
The characters just do a lot of questionable and dumb things that make either my blood boil, my head hurt or make me go "wtf?"
Spoiler warning, the female lead is very frustrating because she tolerates her emotionally abusive boyfriend too much. I mean yes I get it, they've been in a long-term relationship and it is hard to let that go but girl, think twice if everyone around you is saying your boyfriend is shit and you need to break up with him. Literally the whole school is aware of their toxic relationship and she still refuses to listeeeen.
It's such a headache when she still manages to forgive him even though he's a straight up asshole. SHE EVEN FORGAVE HIM DESPITE CHEATING ON HER WITH HER OWN BEST FRIEND/SISTER.
I---I am just loss with words.
When she FINALLY broke it up with his boyfriend (now ex), this is where she and the other male lead (EunHyuk) got closer to each other. He is a sweetheart but he's quite rude to her sometimes so I'm a bit neutral about him. Then when it seems like Eunhyuk is developing feelings for her, do you know what Su-ae does?? SHE GOT BACK WITH HER EX.
LIKE???? GIRL WHAT???
She got back with him because her then 0 heart stats suddenly increased because her ex got jealous of her and Eunhyuk's closeness. She then realized that whenever her ex gets jealous, her hearts increases AND THEREFORE, she cooked up a plan to have an affair with Eunhyuk to make her ex more jealous and thus, increase her hearts.

And at this point in the story I was SO done with her. WHY 👏 ARE 👏 YOU 👏USING 👏EUNHYUK. I am just so mad and frustrated that I gave up reading this comic and went on to rant about it to my boyfriend.
The supernatural stuff was interesting but it was overshadowed by the drama that its introduction was kinda awkward and out of place. Latest chapters were very confusing that it felt like I skipped some chapters when I didn't.
Overall, first few chapters were okay but it gets more and more annoying as you read it. It's an ongoing series but will I continue reading it? Probably not.
When civil engineering student Suho Kim falls asleep reading a fantasy novel, he wakes up as a character in the book! REVIEW (until epsiode 62):
Before we proceed to the review, I just want to say Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all will have a great year.
This 2023, I hope I can read and review a lot of webtoon or manhwas. I currently have a lot of backlogs for review so I hope I can finish those too!
This review is my first entry for this year! This manhwa is actually reccommended to me by my boyfriend and he insisted that I would not regret reading it and you know what, he was right! This comic did not dissappoint.
The introduction of this series is your typical isekai. Guy reads a novel, guy is transported to the said novel and yada yada. The isekai trope is done to death I know, but I think what separates this manhwa amongst the rest is its main premise wherein our main protagonist is an engineering student who uses his modern skills and knowledge to improve the current medieval world he is in.
The main character, Suho Kim a.k.a Lloyd Fronterra, is a very likeable, funny and refreshing MC. His main goal is to be filthy rich because in his past life, he is a very poor student.
He uses this motivation in order to survive the current world he is in even though sometimes his ways are quite questionable. His current body, Lloyd Frontera is the duke's son who is known to be a thug and a troublemaker. This actually puts him at a disadvantage at the start since no one wants to be associated with him. However, he finds a way to actually use this as an advatage to achieve what he wants.
He may seem like a selfish, capitalistic and opportunistic person, which is kinda true but his intentions are quite good. Although he talks a lot about money, when looking at the bigger picture, he provides people with comfortable housing, jobs and he even paid off his family's debt.
He also provides innovation to the people using his modern knowledge and he is also very hands on and hardworking with the projects he initiates, making it satisfying everytime an arc is finished. So I guess one thing I learned, is money is such a great motivator.
He certainly has a lot flaws, but I don't hate him? He's only mean to the people who gets on his bad side and they kinda deserve it especially once you knew what kind of people they are and what kind of things they did. So I don't really have a problem with it cuz it's karma at work.
Now with regards to the relationship. I....I ship him with the second lead Javier >//<
I just LOVE their chemistry! It reminds me of this ship dynamic:
Javier is SO done with every sht Lloyd does but is always there to support him. I love their banters and I just find their interactions so hilarious!
I kinda feel bad for Javier sometimes though since he is always in the middle of Lloyd's schemes but all is well since deep down he knows that helping Lloyd matches his own personal views and interests.
As for other characters, I really like Lloyd's parents, the queen, the cute animal summons, Sir Bayern and many more! All of these characters are influenced one way or another by Lloyd and helps him with his goal to get richer-- I mean, to help the people of their estate.
As for the story, I really like it! I like the pacing and of course, I live for its comedy. So far, I have no complaints. Oh! Maybe one con is, it is too good that I binged it for a few days and was left empty because I reached the latest chapter and was left hanging. I wish they could update 3x a week TT
The art is really good too. It has an anime vibe to it and also, I can't help but notice that the artist seems to like muscles a lot 👀
I also like how they drew the characters' expressions! It's just too funny! I like how they emphasize how cunning Lloyd is using his expressions!
Overall, is this a must read? HELL YEAH.
I didn't gave much details for this review because I don't want to spoil anything~ You gotta see how good it is for yourself~

REVIEW (until episode 128):
I first read this webtoon during its first release and re-release back in 2018. I read this comic again last month because I stopped reading it around 2020. I wanted to continue reading it once the 2nd season is completed cuz I hate cliffhangers.
Now that all chapters for season 2 are available, I'll be able to review this comic~
A little bit of summary.
Paul, our protaganist, is an ordinary boy that has the biggest crush on this girl named Elena who works at a café. He wanted to ask her out so he did the most rational thing a person can do, buy a book of the occult and summon a demon to help him.
Paul summoned not just any demon, but a powerful and high ranking duke of hell named Astaroth.

This comic is actually my favorite comic in the comedy genre. The synopsis captured my interest because a guy summoning a high ranking demon for love advice sounds like a recipe for disaster. When I was done reading the first chapter, I was sold because it already had me giggling.
The comedy in this comic is just pure gold. Chef's kiss! I like how every chapter makes me laugh. Like, not the quiet kind of laugh but really laugh out loud!
The delivery and timing of the punchlines are perfect and unpredictable. Sometimes you think the characters are being serious but then something absurd and outrageous happens which makes you laugh unexpectedly. I would also like to highlight the characters' reactions and expressions because it makes everything 5x funnier.
R/N: Juliet has the most relatable reactions lmao
I have to be honest, at first I thought it's just a gag comic that only circles around its initial premise and has no progress at all. You know, a comic made just for laughs. But I was so wrong! I am kind of surprised that it has development in both the characters and the story! Like what? This comic has actual plot??
The development of the story is actually really good and interesting. There are a lot of twists too so it makes you wanna read more to know what will happen next.
Season 2 & 3 focuses more on the plot but the humor is still consistent which is great since I think the comedy is what this comic is known and loved for.
Character-wise, i like all of them! Oh! a little tip when reading this comic but don't judge the characters at face value because they sometimes turn out differently than what they seem! Some characters may look scary but they are actually really nice. Some characters look really cool or intimidating but they actually arent 🤣
R/N: this guy here had me fooled
The main characters have very interesting and unexpected development as well although sometimes they make dumb and questionable things.
To be fair, the decisions that they make are useful to the plot and in-character so it kinda makes sense. My fave character is probably Vin, our resident bystander who wants nothing to do with any events in the story but gets dragged anyway.
His arc is actually very funny and his development is actually what I least expected.
R/N: Vin before and after. They really pushed him too hard huh ><
Overall, I really love this comic and will reccommend this to others especially those who likes comedy or if you want something to make you smile or laugh.

ADDITIONAL REVIEW (since this webtoon is already completed)
Soooo I kinda feel sad hahaha.
The series actually ended a few weeks after I wrote my initial review so yeah, I feel kinda empty after finishing it.
I am not aware that it ended so I expected a few more chapters. But then it dawned on me when I read the author's epilogue. I didn't even know that I was reading the last chapter 🤣
Well anyways, the series is still great although the ending felt like a cliffhanger. I'm not sure if the author will continue the story but I will commend them because I really enjoyed this series a lot! I will miss the characters and all their mishaps!
The beautiful Athanasia was killed at the hands of her own biological father, Claude de Alger Obelia, the cold-blooded emperor! It’s just a silly bedtime story… until one woman wakes up to suddenly find she’s become that unfortunate princess! She needs a plan to survive her doomed fate, and time is running out. Will she go with Plan A, live as quietly as possible without being noticed by the infamous emperor? Plan B, collect enough money to escape the palace? Or will she be stuck with Plan C, sweet-talking her way into her father’s good graces?!

REVIEW:
Re-read this again because it is finally completed and I can binge read it without cliffhangers!
This is my first isekai webtoon and also my favorite so it holds a very special place in my heart!
Reading this again is pretty nostalgic! I remember those times where I am so excited when a new chapter comes out every few to several months. The wait is sometimes long but it is very worth it although sometimes it leaves you hanging.
It is completed now so I am able to enjoy this manhwa in its full glory! I will be reviewing the story, art, and give some opinions about the characters~
A little bit of recap:
The story starts with our main character being self aware that she had been isekai'd/reincarnated to a novel she read back in her previous life.
baby Athy is so adorable
Her main dillema was that apparently, she has been reincarnated as the tragic Princess Athanasia in a novel called "Lovely Princess".
In the original novel, Athanasia or Athy is the daughter of an Emperor named Claude de Alger Obelia. Although she was his only child and daughter, he never acknowledged nor cared for her since her birth, making her seem like a forgotten princess.
At the age of 9, she met her father accidentally while wandering around the palace grounds. Being a neglected child who craved for love and affection from a parent, she decided to win her father's favor by doing her best to be a great princess. However, her efforts were always fruitless since she was shunned and ignored by her father everytime.
When she was 14 and attending her debutante ball, a girl named Jeanette, who also happens to be the main protagonist of the novel, was introduced to the emperor as his daughter. Jeanette was accepted as a princess and as the story progress, Jeanette slowly gained their father's affection and approval due to her bright, gentle, and cheerful personality. Athy on the other hand was still neglected (poor bby..)
Then Jeanette has this aunt who wanted her to be the next heir to the throne. Since Athy is Jeanette's competition, she devised a plan to get rid of her for good by poisoning Jeanette and framing Athy for it.
The plan of Jeanette's aunt was successful since Claude believed the accusations that Athy poisoned Jeanette. Despite being innocent, Athy was then sentenced to death and executed.
Now in order to avoid the same tragic fate as the original Athanasia, our main character made a plan to collect as much trinkets and jewelry as much as she can gather so that she can have money and run away from the palace when she comes of age. She also planned to avoid the emperor as much as possible for her survival since it seems like the emperor has some sort of Vendetta towards her.
she loves gold so she can take it with her when she runs a way lol
However! Her plans were utterly destroyed when she met the emperor 4 years earlier than the original Athy. This made her come up with a new plan to try and charm the emperor like Jeanette did by being cute and charming in order not to be killed.

Thoughts! (contains spoilers!)
This manhwa is my favorite for a reason! It is a complete package and something that I will recommend!
It is a cute and heart warming coming of age story with many twists and turns. The story telling is great and compelling. It keeps you interested and makes you want to read more because you just HAVE to know what will happen next.
The characters are also very well-written! I like mostly everyone in the story. I wish some characters have side stories or spin offs because they are so lovable and likeable. The chemistry between the characters are so great that I was kinda sad when I learned that the series already ended. I wanted more character interactions!
The relationship between Athy and her father is very cute and sweet. It's very amusing to see a very stoic Claude be full of emotions when it comes to his daughter. I wanted more stories or scenes about a doting Claude especially now that Athy has suitors!
Source: Pinterest
On the romance aspect, the love triangle between Athy, Ezekiel and Lucas makes my heart flutter so much. Ezekiel is nice and a textbook example of a prince/gentleman buuut I just ship Athy and Lucas so soooo much!
A little bit of spoiler but that scene where Athy kissed Lucas on the cheek will be forever etched in my memory!
Source: Pinterest
They are so cute and lovely together! I can't express how much I adore them so much. I like how Athy can be herself around Lucas and I love how chill and supportive Lucas is around Athy. Even though he is a very powerful magician and can take away Athy's problems in a snap, he still respects her decisions and trusts her judgement to solve the difficulties she face. He is also protective of Athy (in a healthy way) which is a major plus point!
I also love the scenes where the two male leads clash! The way they try win Athy's affection is amusing and funny cuz they are both competitive.
I just wished to have more side stories about Felix and Lily, Jeanette and Anastacius, and also Claude and Diana's past! Not sure if the actual novel has stories about them but if there are, I hope they get illustrated too because the art is excellent!
The artsyle is just chef's kiss! I really love how the characters are drawn cuz all of them are drop dead gorgeous! I think what stands out the most with the artsyle are the eyes, hair, and detailed clothing. As a shoujo fan, I am in love with the way the eyes and hair are drawn since it is sparkly and full of life and character.
The costume design is superb and can I just say the people behind the manhwa have great taste in fashion? All characters are stylish but I love Athy's dresses the most.
The Alice themed dress, confrontation dress, and debutante ball dress are very iconic to me.
Overall, you can tell I really love this manhwa! Maybe the things I kind of see as lacking is the way Aeternitas' story was told and also, major spoiler alert, neither Ezekiel nor Lucas ends up with Athy. I really wanted that Lucas end game!
The ending was ok and a great ending for an arc. I heard there are more post-Aeternitas events that happened on the novel so I guess it is up to the creators of the manhwa to decide if they'll illustrate that in the future or not.
I just have a lot to say about this manhwa but this post is getting long! Maybe I'll make a part 2 for my character opinions but lets see~
------
Overall Rating: 4.5/5 (minus 0.5 cuz no Lucas x Athy endgame lol)
