My Quick thoughts on Lisa's first album as a soloist
Hi! So I'm on a roll today! I'm planning to do all solo albums of the Blackpink members! I already did Rose's and Jisoo's (You can check those out too!)
Next up is Lisa, who came up with an interesting concept! Her album Alter Ego introduces us to 5 personas: Roxi, Kiki, Vixi, Sunni and Speedi, each representing a different side of her artistry and personality.
In an interview, she said that this idea came to life when she was experimenting with different music styles. Each track reflects a unique mood and vibe tied to a specific “alter ego.”
Alter Ego has a total of 15 tracks! That's quite a lot so with that said, let's dive in the review!
1. Born Again (feat. Doja Cat and RAYE)
Rating: 8/10
Memorable line/s:
If you tried just a little more times
I would've made you a believer
Would’ve showed you what it's like (Like)
Every single night
To be born again, baby, to be born again
Non-believer
You’ve bitten from the fruit but can't give back
Nice to leave ya
But I would be a fool not to ask
Do your words seem gospel to ya now?
Thoughts:
I was so hyped when they announced this song because I LOVE Doja Cat and the wait was so worth it! This might come off as biased but my favorite is definitely Doja's verse.
And can we please talk about the music video??? It was also immaculate! The visuals, the energy, everything felt so empowering! I especially LOVE this part:
Literal CHILLS!!
I swear, I’m going to tell the younger generation that these three were goddesses. As for the song itself, it's catchy and layered. RAYE’s vocals are so beautiful, and Lisa shines too, especially with her vocal delivery. It’s a strong start to the album and sets the tone really well.
2. Rockstar
Rating: 7.5/10
Memorable line/s:
Been on a mission, boy, they call me catch-and-kill
That's my life, life, baby, I'm a rockstar
Every city that I go is my city
Thoughts:
This song is very catchy, though it's just not my favorite. Still, it's a perfect song for an idol like her. It captures the fast-paced, almost dizzying rhythm of celebrity life. I didn’t vibe with it right away, but it’s definitely growing on me. I'm trying to guess which alter ego represents this. According to the official site says it's Roxi, and yeah, that makes total sense!
3. Elastigirl
Rating: 6/10
Memorable line/s:
I'ma bounce likе an acrobat
You can watch me hit the ground
And I snap right back
That's a metaphor for life
Thoughts:
Without reading the official song description, I honestly thought this song has a spicy meaning 😅. But anyway, the song is okay, it has a fun and energetic vibe. What stands out is the meaning of the song. Lisa compares herself to Elastigirl (from Incredibles), showing how she’s emotionally flexible and strong. No matter what life throws at her, she bounces back. That metaphor hits nicely, even if the song itself isn’t my top pick.
4. Thunder
Rating: 7/10
Memorable line/s:
I'll take my place up ahead
No, you said I'll never get by
Now look at me, I'm so high
You can't put me in a box, you can't teach me how to stop
Thoughts:
The chorus might be the part I like the most. The lyrics are super empowering, very on brand for Lisa who's always promoting self-belief and confidence. It's catchy and bold with a strong "prove them wrong" energy. While I like the message, it's personally not something I would put on repeat. Still, it makes a solid statement.
5. New Woman (ft. Rosalia)
Rating: 8.5/10
Memorable line/s:
Focus on my mind, takin' my time
I'm a new woman, woman
Thoughts:
This song is SO iconic! I reallyyyy love this song and the message behind it! It beautifully reflects how Lisa's challenges and hardships shaped her into the woman that she is today! Rosalia's parts? Also amazing! And can we also talk about the MV? Every scene felt intentional and powerful.
Definitely one of my top favorites from the album.
6. FXCK UP THE WORLD
Rating: 9/10
Memorable line/s:
Woke up feelin' like, like
Fuck up the world, fuck up the world
(Yeah) Uh, uh, woke up in that mode again
(Yeah) Uh, uh, please don't call my phone again
(Yeah) Uh, uh, walked in causing havoc
Yes, that is a habit
Bad, I'm bad, I'm tragic, yeah, yeah
Rappin' like my lease up, I told them that I'm focused (Yeah, yeah)
They want the old LISA, then listen to my old shit (Yeah, yeah)
Rappin' like a deep cut, flowin' like the ocean (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
They want the old LISA, then listen to my old shit
Thoughts:
I was so hyped listening to this one! Lisa rapping is an always an absolute slay! The lyrics and MV for this is so Harley Quinn coded: edgy, chaotic, and dripping with attitude. It’s the kind of song you would blast when you're done with everyone and everything. My favorite parts are the refrain and the bridge, especially the bridge. It’s so savage and confident!
7. Rapunzel (ft. Megan Thee Stallion)
Rating: 7.5/10
Memorable line/s:
Livin' lavish while we still young
Spendin' that shit 'til we go dumb
Thoughts:
This one's pretty catchy and I love Megan's verse. It's a very straightforward song: it’s about living your best, most extravagant life while you’re young. That said, I'm not sure why it's called Rapunzel 😂. Wish I could relate, but I ain’t rich hahaha
8. Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me)
Rating: 9.5/10
Memorable line/s:
Green-eyed French boy got me trippin'
How your skin is always soft
How your kisses always hit
How you know just where to
But when I heard you say, "Bonjour, bébé"
I was like, "Damn"
Thoughts:
This song is so sweet and adorable and my absolute fave! I couldn't stop giggling while reading the lyrics because Lisa sounds SO in love! It’s wild to think that our maknae is already singing about romance like this.
The song has such a dreamy, romantic vibe, and the melody is irresistibly cute. I know it’s inspired by an older song, which might be why it sounds familiar, but either way, it totally works. One of the most replay-worthy tracks for me!
9. When I'm With You (ft. Tyla)
Rating: 8.5/10
Memorable line/s:
Dealin', dealin' with a certified winner
Michelin Star's how I like my dinner
Said you wanna stick around, go figure
Everybody does, I'm what everybody wants
Everybody sees, I'm on everybody's screen
T make everybody jump, I make everybody scream
Tell me this ain't the baddest back-to-back you ever seen
I can put you on the map and she can take you overseas
Quick trip, one way and I'm there for you
Good girl, I'll dare, but I'm bad for you
Elevate my space and my bed for you
Anyways, any day, I make plans for you (I like that)
Like it when you tell me what to do (I like that)
Like it when you tell me, "Break the rules"
I like that side of me when we get together
I'm way better
Thoughts:
Yes, I’m putting Lisa’s entire second verse as the memorable part because it is just that good! The delivery is sassy, seductive, and scratches that perfect part of my brain! Tyla’s vocals are absolutely gorgeous too, soft but powerful. And the MV? So sexy and exotic, with major summer energy. I’ve already got this one on repeat.
10. BADGRRRL
Rating: 5.5/10
Memorable line/s:
I can be your bad girl, don't treat me like a lady
Thoughts:
It's not really my cup of tea, I'm sorry :(
Maybe it's a perfect song for the baddies, it has that "bad girl" energy. Aside from that, I have nothing else to say. Kinda surprised that this represents Roxi, I thought it was Kiki.
11. Lifestyle
Rating: 7.5/10
Memorable line/s:
This ain't just luck, this my lifestyle
Fast cars, drop tops and tank tops
Diamonds on my TikTok
That's just my lifestyle (Oh-woah)
L.A. to Bangkok
Can't stop so we don't stop
That's just my lifestyle
Thoughts:
This one is super fast-paced and catchy! It honestly feels like it could’ve been the perfect opener for the album with how energetic it is. I really like the beats, it gives off that jet-set, luxury vibe. The lyrics capture Lisa’s life as a global icon so well. Not my top fave, but definitely a solid track that sets the mood!
12. Chill
Rating: 7.5/10
Memorable line/s:
With a heart so cold, I give you ch-ch-chills (Ooh-ooh)
With a kiss so cold, from the icе that’s on my grill (Ooh-ooh)
Can't read my face, just call me Mona LISA
Mean what I say, boy, I ain't gonna tease ya
Thoughts:
The lyrics are giving major "no strings attached" energy. The beats are really smooth and the chorus is pretty catchy. The guitar at the beginning lowkey reminds me of a Charlie Puth song (but I can’t place which either lol).
Overall, this track is such a vibe! Perfect for the girlies who just want something casual, light, and flirty, nothing serious!
13. Dream
Rating: 9.5/10
Memorable line/s:
But I know a place where we can be us
I know it ain't real, but it's real enough
Whenever I close my eyes
It's taking me back in time
Been drowning in dreams lately
Like it's 2019, baby
It's bittersweet
At least a girl can dream
If you got the harder side of the break
Then why is it harder for me to take?
Thoughts:
You guys don't understand how much I love this song!!!! What happened at that night in Tokyo, Lisa??? 😭😭
This song just hurts in all the right ways. The lyrics? Unreasonably emotional. They have no business cutting that deep. It's raw, vulnerable, and so personal that it almost feels out of place in an album mostly filled with flashy, confident tracks about her celebrity life. And yet, it works. It’s a beautiful, bittersweet breather that stays with you. Definitely one of the most memorable and heartfelt songs on the album. Lisa's vocals are so cute btw!
14. FXCK UP THE WORLD (Vixi Solo Version)
Rating: 9/10
Thoughts:
The main difference between this and the original version is that Lisa takes over the verse previously performed by the featured artist. And honestly? She delivers. It feels just as powerful and edgy, so I’m giving it the same rating as the original. If anything, this solo version showcases more of Lisa’s presence and rap prowess, which I obviously love. Still Harley Quinn-coded, still a banger, still one of my faves when I need to feel unbothered and chaotic.
15. Rapunzel (Kiki Solo Version)
Rating: 7.5/10
Thoughts:
Just like with the other solo version, the only major change here is Lisa taking over the featured artist’s part. The vibe stays pretty much the same, so my rating remains unchanged. It’s still a catchy track with fun, lavish energy—just without Megan’s verse this time. Lisa holds her own, of course, but I do think Megan added a distinct flair in the original that I kind of missed here.

Overall Thoughts:
Alter Ego really showcases Lisa's versatility. She proves she can take on all kinds of sounds and pull them off. The concept of using alter egos is super creative and fits her image as a global star, but it also feels like a double-edged sword. While the tracks are musically diverse, most lyrics across the album tend to echo the same themes. It almost feels too masked, like we're seeing different versions of Lisa but not the Lisa herself.
There’s a certain detachment in most of the songs, which I guess makes sense given the concept. Alter egos aren't supposed to be the real her. For me, the most personal and emotionally resonant moment was the final track, Dream. That’s the one song that really hit me and felt raw and real.
I still love Lisa and her incredible talent, and I’m definitely looking forward to her next releases. I just hope that next time, we get to meet her, not just the personas.
My Thoughts on Jisoo's first solo album as a soloist
Hi everyone! It's been a while. Rumor has it that BLACKPINK will have a comeback soon. There's no confirmed date yet (as usual), and as much as that's kind of disappointing, we'll just have to wait *sigh*
So, while waiting for the comeback, or at least an announcement of it (lol), I decided to review the remaining solos of the pinks!
I reviewed Rosie's last year and I loved it! She's the first one to release an album and then the other pinks followed this year. I've already listened to the solos of Jisoo, Lisa, and Jennie so unfortunately, this review isn't a first listen.
I will be reviewing the albums based on its release dates so after Rosie, I will be reviewing Jisoo's next!
Btw, I went to her Manila Tour and she was so so pretty! Let me share some photos:
Let's go to the review!!
1. earthquake
Rating: 7/10
Memorable line/s:
"It hits me like an earthquake (Uh-huh)
더 빠르게 my heart race (Uh-huh)
온몸이 떨려 can't stand (Uh-huh)
널 부정할 수 없게 (Uh-huh)"
Thoughts:
This is the title song! Gotta be honest, I really can't get into this song even after multiple listens. Maybe it's just not my cup of tea? That said, it IS pretty catchy and the MV? INSANE! Jisoo's visuals are truly out of this world. The choreography is awesome as well, really like the "da-da,da-ra-ra" part! Overall, even though it's not my vibe, I appreciate the effort and energy behind it.
2. Your Love
Rating: 1000/10
Memorable line/s:
"My life began when you walked in the room
And I wanna end all my nights next to you
Like, ooh-ooh, you make me complete
You look like everything I see in my dreams"
"I swear that we'll be young forever
The world slows down when we're together
I've never known this feeling
But if I had to find a way to explain your love
your love feels like the rain, feels like a song I used to know
And your love feels like the way there's only green lights driving home (your love)
Your love feels like a Sunday when you got nowhere to go
Oh, I love your love, your love, your la-la-la-la-love"
Thoughts:
THIS SONG IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES! It has this nostalgic vibe to it and let's say...I can relate! If there's a song for faliing in love for the first time, THIS IS IT! It's so catchy and comforting, and even after 4 months, I still have this on repeat. Btw, the choreography was first shown at the Manila tour and it was so magical! I really wanna go back ><
3. TEARS
Rating: 9/10
Memorable line/s:
"This one's on me, so cheers
오늘은 너를 잊기 위한 마지막 tears"
"너란 game 속에서, 난 loser
But that don't mean you've won, you loser"
Thoughts:
Okay but why is "earthquake" the title track when the rest of the album is waaay catchier? I vibe with this song so much, especially the chorus! At first, it didn't land on my top songs but it grows on you. And when she performed this live? I was gagged!
The lyrics are actually kind of funny — and I mean that in the best way. It feels like she’s teasing her ex, saying “cheers” to moving on, and refusing to shed another tear. It’s playful but also empowering, which makes it even more fun to listen to.
4. Hugs & Kisses
Rating: 8/10
Memorable line/s:
"'Cause I'm tired of you using me like a safety net
I'm not buying your excuses, don't even waste your breath, oh, yeah
Funny, you're wanting me back, I'm moving on
Matter of fact I'm through, it's on you"
"Don't need your hugs and kisses"
"Faithful
You wouldn't know even if you were an angel"
Thoughts:
This song is so savage! I don't even know her ex, but I was like, "Hell yeah, tell him!".
The lyrics are incredibly empowering, especially to anyone who had been cheated on and found the strength to move on! The choreo for this is so cunty as well! Gosh, I wish they could release the dance practice for all of the songs cuz I'll definitely eat that up.
____
My Ranking:
Your Love
TEARS
Hugs & Kisses
Earthquake
------
Overall Thoughts:
I am kind of sad that Amortage only has 4 tracks, I really wanted more! Aside from earthquake, I really loved the rest of the songs!
I saw someone on X point out that the tracklist follows the emotional cycleof falling in love and moving on, and I completely agree!!
Earthquake - realizing you're in love
Your Love - falling in love
Tears - going through a breakup
Hugs & Kisses - moving on, stronger than ever
Jisoo has so much potential as a solo k-pop artist. And can I say that out of all the members, she might be the most unpredictable one when it comes to music. Maybe she's the one who embodies the spirit of "k-pop" among the pinks.
So much has been going on in my life right now so I'm not posting so often as before.
Anyway, I broke my hiatus because Rosé just dropped her first album and I just HAD to review it!
It's a bit short though but I just don't want to postpone my review any further because this will be placed on my backlogs again and be forgotten forever hahaha. (I swear I will review Chappel's and Sabrina's album soon)
Without further ado, let's start!
1. number one girl
Rating: 1000/10
Memorable line/s:
"I'd give it all up if you told me that I'd be
The number one girl in your eyes"
Thoughts:
Really love this song. I got chills while watching the MV and it made me more excited for her album. As much as I like Gone or On the Ground, this song is what I was expecting from Rosie's solo debut. Like, I always imagined her singing ballads like this! Her voice has this pretty and powerful tone to it that makes it perfect for emotional songs. The lyrics are also up my alley (As a big Olivia fan lol)! It's raw and heart wrenching like, I get the desperation of wanting someone to love you back.
I really really love this song and it has been stuck in my head for days now.
2. 3am
Rating: 8/10
Memorable line/s:
"I just want it to be you when it's 3 a.m. and I'm losing myself and my mind again"
"The world can roll their eyes, but there's no use, I just want it to be you"
Thoughts:
I love the chorus of this song, it's so catchy and the beat drop makes me wanna dance (even if the lyrics are kinda sad haha).
3. two years
Rating: 8/10
Memorable line/s:
"It's been two years and you're still not gone. Doesn't make sense that I can't move on"
"Two years since you've been in my bеd. Even had a funeral for you in my head"
Thoughts:
This song is so Taylor Swift-coded for some reason? Maybe it's the melody and structure I guess? Perfect for people who haven't moved on from their exes : (
4. toxic till the end
Rating: 8.5/10
Memorable line/s:
"Call us what we are, toxic from the start"
"Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you: The ex"
"I can forgive you for all of the things, for not giving me back my Tiffany rings. I'll never forgive you for one thing, my dear, you wasted my prettiest years"
Thoughts:
I think this is her title song? (since it has an MV and everything). It's giving a bit of 2000s vibe but it's not a bad thing, it's actually really catchy and nice. I really love the bridge. Whoever her ex is...god damn, please return her Tiffany rings 😭😭. I get why this is the title track, it has this appeal that most people will like since it's very catchy and relatable.
5. drinks and coffee
Rating: 9/10
Memorable line/s:
"Gotta keep it nice, we cannot be naughty. We could get drinks, or we could get coffee"
Thoughts:
This song makes me wanna shake my booty 🤣. It's so catchy!! It's a nice song to take a break from all the heartbreak earlier haha. It's a perfect song to dedicate to your crush.
Still catchy no matter how many times I listened to it haha! But I got to be honest, I skipped this during my first album listen because I've heard this a billion times already. Literally everyday and EVERYWHERE. This song is blasted at cafés, malls, stores, or even by my neighbors. Can't say I'm tired of it yet though because I get it, it's freaking catchy. My fave parts are Bruno's verse and the bridge.
7. gameboy - 9.5/10
Rating: 9.5/10
Memorable line/s:
"Yeah, you'll always be a gameboy, but these days, I don't wanna play, boy"
"If crying was fun, I'd be having the time of my life"
"Some things just ain't meant to be. Kinda like you and me, yeah, yeah"
Thoughts:
One of my faves! I love the beat and lyrics. It's one of those songs that I will be listening to on repeat.
8. stay a little longer
Rating: 10/10
Memorable line/s:
"Please, won't you stay, stay a little longer, babe?
I'll be okay, you say it's written all over my face
I'm fragile, I'm speechless, don't leave me in pieces
Already havin' enough trouble breathin'
Please, won't you stay, stay a little longer, babe? "
Thoughts:
I got literal chills listening to this like, seriously! Her raspy voice during the chorus just makes my brain go wild for some reason, if you are familiar with ASMR, this song literally gave me the tingles. One of my faves as well!
9. not the same
Rating: 7.5/10
Memorable line/s:
"Oh, what a shame, nothing's the same
All of my love, you put it to waste
And you can keep pointing the finger"
Thoughts:
The guitar and her voice is so lovely, she features her raspy voice here again and woah, she's so good at singing. I am not an expert on vocals but I heard some amazing techniques here haha. Lyrics are also good! I think this is the most raw song in the album.
10. call it the end
Rating: 8/10
Memorable line/s:
"Do I call you my ex or do I call you my boyfriend?
Call you a lover, do I call you a friend?
Call you the one or the one that got away?
Someone I'll just have to forget
Do I call you every night you're gone or never call you again?
Do we havе a future or should I call it the end?"
Thoughts:
The lyrics just hurts my soul damn :( It's perfect for those who are in a situationship hahaha
11. too bad for us - 8/10
Rating: 8/10
Memorable line/s:
"Flying high with both eyes closed
Almost touched the sun, I guess we got too close"
"We wanna talk but we don't wanna listen
We play pretend but we both know it's missing
If love burns too bright, it burns out in a minute"
Thoughts:
I can see Rose singing this with her guitar! I really can't wait for her tour!
12. dance all night
Rating: 9/10
Memorable line/s:
"I would not obsess
Over all the little things I don't regret"
"I would dance all night
Not care about the heartache in my life"
Thoughts:
Perfect end for an album! The song makes me happy for her because after all the heartbreaks she went through, she is now able to move on. This album has great storytelling and I recommend that you listen to it sequentially! This song is in my top 5 since I love how empowering and hopeful it is.

Overall Thoughts:
Overall, Rosie's debut album is so beautiful! It's actually pretty solid as a debut album. It's marketed as an album that is genuine and sincere and I think they nailed it! I'm really happy that she is now able to be involved so much in creating music! As a blink since Blackpink's predebut, I am so happy of how far she has gone. I know how her fans are frustrated about how their company is so restrictive of them in everything and I am so happy that she got the freedom to write her own songs! I knew that she has so many things to write >_<
My thoughts about Olivia Rodrigo's 2nd album, Guts!
Hi everyone! Long time no post! A lot has happened for the past months and I haven't posted a lot :(
Anyway, so Olivia released an album last September! This review is sooo long overdue haha but at least I could also review the new songs released on Guts (spilled) which is kind of like the deluxe edition of Guts.
I am very excited for this album because her previous album, "Sour" was one of my favorites. I listened to this on its release and it did not disappoint! So let's talk about my thoughts about it.
1. all-american bitch
Rating: 9/10
Memorable line/s:
"I don't get angry when I'm pissed. I'm the eternal optimist, I scream inside to deal with it"
"I'm grateful all the time (Grateful every f*cking time)"
Thoughts:
Way to start an album! The song is very catchy and the pop rock elements just hits up my alley. I heard that she used some American pop culture references in this song so I did some researching to know the meaning of them (since I am not American lol).
The overall tone of this song is somewhat sarcastic. I think the song is about how people expect her to be the "perfect American woman" when some of that ideals are quite destructive. Take for example the line:
"All the time,
I'm grateful all the time
I'm sexy and I'm kind
I'm pretty when I cry"
and the line
"I don't get angry when I'm pissed
I'm the eternal optimist
I scream inside to deal with like "Ah""
It's like even if you are upset or angry, as a woman, you are expected to be calm and mature and handle things gracefully like a proper lady. Basically, bottling up your feelings because you, having negative feelings and expressing them doesn't sit well with people.
These types of expectations are toxic and unhealthy. Keeping your thoughts internally because people will be inconvenienced is such bs. Having emotions isn't a crime because guess what, women are people too. We should be able to laugh when you're happy, cry when you're sad and get mad when you're angry.
Overall (before this section takes too long), I like the song and it's meaning. I especially love the outro. Oh! and have you guys seen her performance of this song on SNL? It was amazing!
2. bad idea right?
Rating: 8.5/10
Memorable line/s:
"Seeing you tonight is a bad idea right?"
"I only see him as a friend (The biggest lie I ever said)"
This is like hearing the thought process of your friend who can't leave their ex or move on 😂
It's a fun song and really catchy. I love the build up before every chorus hits. It's fun to sing along to.
It's funny because this song reminds me of one of my friends and his on/off relationship with a girl. Like, he keeps ranting about her but he just keeps coming back to her. Saying things like, "Well, we're still friends so we're still hanging out" but then regrets it later when stuff happens. This song reminds me soooo much of him. No matter how much advice we give him he always does the opposite.
Anyways, to my friend out there, hope you move on already!
3. vampire
Rating: 9/10
Memorable line/s:
"I used to think I was smart but you made look so naive"
"You can't love anyone, 'cause that would mean you had a heart"
So this song was said to be about a previous boyfriend but others said that this is about Taylor Swift, but I think I'd go with the former. I did some research and she did have a former boyfriend that fits the description so maybe it's about him?
The lyrics is kind of like "All Too Well" all over again. Not saying it's bad but it's really weird to think that a lot of young women can relate to it. I mean, why do these men always go after young women who's like, years their junior? The line "Went for me and not her, 'cause girls your age know better"?? Like dudes, why can't you find someone your age? Young women in their late teens to early 20s are still figuring out life, leave them alone 😂
Anyways, the song is quite good and pretty hard to sing so kudos to Olivia! I watched her live performances to this song and it's just so amazing.
4. lacy
Rating: 7.5/10
Memorable line/s:
"I see you everywhere, sweetest torture one could bear"
"People are people but it's like you're made of angel dust"
"I despise my rotten mind and how much it worships you"
This is definitely about envy. It's the kind of envy where you admire someone because you can never be like them. Do you guys get it? (haha)
She puts "lacy" in a pedestal because she's basically perfect; which is something that she (Olivia) thinks she could never be. Basically, "Lacy" brings out her insecurities and this is frustrating her.
I think most of us has their own "lacy". Maybe it's an idol, actress, friend, etc. and I get it because I also have my own. The thing is, you are your own person and that lacy is also their own person. You will never be them because you are you. It's alright to acknowledge the feeling of jealousy but don't let your life revolve around it. Do things that are best for you.
5. ballad of a homeschool girl
Rating: 8/10
Memorable line/s:
"I'm on the outside of the greatest inside joke"
"Each time I step outside, it's social suicide!"
This is not a ballad, this is an anthem!! 😂
I have to say, this ain't just for the homeschool girlies but awkward and socially inept people too (like me). I am laughing all throughout this song when I first listened to it because it is TOO relatable for my own good.
I love how chaotic it sounds, like a mind of a very confused and anxious girl who does not know how social stuff works.
P.S. can't find a fitting gif for this sooo bear with me
6. making the bed
Rating: 8/10
Memorable line/s:
"Well sometimes I feel like I don't wanna be where I am"
"Every good thing has turned into something I dread"
"I got the things I wanted, it's not what I imagined"
This is such a very personal and emotional song. I've been watching BoJack Horseman recently (I'm on Season 4 pls no spoilers) and this song reminds me of him. This song could be about her rise to fame but it could also be interpreted as facing the consequences of your own actions thus the title.
9. logical
Rating: 8/10
Memorable line/s:
"No, love is never logical"
"I know I'm half responsible and that makes me feel horrible"
"i fell for you like water falls from the february sky"
Another ballad~ It's about how she wished she left an unhealthy relationship sooner. She reminisced about how she ignored all the red flags because she loved him. This is probably about that guy on vampire because some lyrics talks about how he took advantage of her because she was young. And yes, when you are young, immature, and inexperienced, love is not logical. She seems to blame herself over it as well which made me want to give her a hug :(
The song makes me sad.
10. get him back!
Rating: 9.5/10
Memorable line/s:
"But I am my father's daughter, so maybe I could fix him"
"Wanna kiss his face, with an uppercut"
"I want sweet revenge, I want him again"
This feels like the continuation for "bad idea right?". Get him back is a song about having complicated feelings for an awful ex. She wants to get back with him but at the same time she wants to get revenge or get back at him for breaking her heart.
Song is very catchy and I hope I could hear this live soon! (Olivia please come to the Philippines) One of my faves in this album.
11. love is embarrassing
Rating: 9.5/10
Memorable line/s:
"My God, love's embarrassing as hell"
This is logical but in a lighter tone or when you are at the stage that you've moved on but you suddenly remember what you did and you get second hand embarrassment for yourself 🤣 It's giving "What the hell was I thinking, tf did I do that for??"
This song is so fun and I found myself singing it from time to time. One of my favesss
12. the grudge
Rating: 11/10
Memorable line/s:
"You took everything I loved and crushed it in between your fingers"
"My undying love, now I hold it like a grudge"
"I takes strength to forgive, but I don't feel strong"
"How could anybody do the things you did so easily?"
"It takes strength to forgive but, I'm not quite sure I'm there yet"
Ngl, this song made me cry. Every time I try singing it I always end up tearing up or crying. It's like you are trying to move on and forgive someone but that pain still lingers and it hurts so much and you can't bring yourself to come in terms with. To anyone who is in the situation, give yourself time because as they say time can heal all wounds. If you must cry, then there's no shame in crying.
13. pretty isn't pretty
Rating: 10/10
Memorable line/s:
"There's always something in the mirror that I think looks wrong"
"...I could try every every lipstick in every shade, but I'd always feel the same "
"You fix the things you hated, And you'd still feel so insecure"
Seriously Olivia. Why should you always write songs that are so personal and relatable?? I gotta be honest, but this song made me cry again haha. I dunno, I just can relate to this song soooo much. I love how Olivia wrote this because it captures the struggles of being an anxious and insecure individual. Anyway, on a lighter note, I love the guitar and the bridge of this song. This is one of my faves.
14. teenage dream
Rating: 10/10
Memorable line/s:
"When am I gonna stop being wise beyond my years and just start being wise?"
"They all say that it gets better, it gets better, but what if I don't?"
Another ballad and yes, I am crying because of this song yet again. If I have a song I want my teenage self to hear, it's this song. I am an eldest daughter in an Asian household so this song just pulls my heartstrings so much because it makes me feel heard and my feelings validated. I am expected of many things so this song comforts me.
The slow buildup to a rock tone during the outro is also such a nice tone.
15. obsessed
Rating: 10/10
Memorable line/s:
"You both have moved on, you don't even talk. But I can't help it, I got issues, I can't help it baby"
You don't know how guilty I felt when I heard this song for the first time hahaha. At one point in my life, I've been soooo insecure at my boyfriend's ex and the lyrics just hits me like a damn truck because my thoughts are exactly the same!! I mean, sometimes you just can't help to compare yourself from an ex you know?
I love the contrast of this vs. the other 3 songs because this is pop rock. I love the instrumentals for this!
16. girl i've always been
Rating: 8/10
Memorable line/s:
"And I can't say I'm a perfect ten. But I am the girl I've always been"
A country song! I love how lively this song is. The lyrics is kind of empowering in a way because it feels like Olivia has accepted that she is flawed and is not pretending to be that perfect girl anymore.
17. scared of my guitar
Rating: 7.5/10
Memorable line/s:
"I can't lie to it the same way that I lie to you"
"So we'll stay together 'cause how could I ever trade something that's good for what's right."
Another sad song (please Olivia I'll run out of tears!). I think Olivia is pertaining to her songwriting skills here and how she uses it to express her raw and authentic self. She compares how honest she is with her songwriting versus her relationship with others. It is implied that she isn't transparent about her feelings with other people, possibly because she is protecting herself.
18. stranger
Rating: 10/10
Memorable line/s:
"I cried a million rivers for you but that's over now. You're just a stranger I know everything about"
"You are the best thing that I'll ever keep so far out of my life"
"If I'm not enough for you, you're not enough for me"
This song is so uplifting and positive for someone who already moved on. I love the lyrics of this as it speaks about moving forward and forgiving someone but never forgetting. Oh! and I love the reference from "enough for you". I also love the guitar on this one.
19. so american
Rating: 9/10
Memorable line/s:
"He's like a poem I wish I wrote"
"Oh god, it's just not fair of him to make me feel this much"
"I'm probably gonna marry him if he keeps this shit up"
"I really love my bed but man it's hard to sleep when he's with me"
"I don't wanna assume this stuff. But ain't it love? I think I'm in love"
Guysss we finally have a love song!! This is such a perfect way to end an album together with "stranger" because it feels like a chapter has closed and another one has opened! This is her first love song since her debut right?? It's sooo good. The lyrics are so cute and makes me smile. She describes this guy as the best thing that's ever happen to her and that makes me happy somehow? She sounds sooo inlove and adorableee! I really love the bridge it makes me all giggly ><
-----
My Top 5 Picks:
stranger
the grudge
love is embarrassing
obsessed
pretty isn't pretty
-----
Overall Thoughts:
I gotta say, kudos to Olivia and her team because they manage to create another good album! It's great that they are consistent with pop rock and ballads and I especially appreciate that they added a little country touch on the song list!
Overall, like Sour, I love how this album is so personal. Ngl, this made me cry more than Sour ><
What would you do if you were reborn as a character from your favorite romance novel? For Peony, an avid fan of “The Song of Askar,” the answer is simple: Marry her favorite character, of course! Reincarnated as the princess of the Kingdom of Garten, Peony is determined to marry Richt, the second male lead of “The Song of Askar” and former prince of the Fairspren Empire, who was banished to an inhospitable land after the novel’s happy ending (which didn’t end so well for him). Amidst trials and tribulations, can Peony and Richt make the most of their second chance at life and love?
Today I will be reviewing a cute romance manhwa entitled, Happily Ever Afterwards!
This review will be a bit short since I finished it last February and I don't remember ALL the details, just the important ones.
Anyway, this title is another novel isekai.
But the thing is, the MC was not reincarnated as a part of the main cast, instead, she is a background character of the original story, a princess from a rich, neighbouring country.
The timeline also happened after the ending of the original story which made me interested.
So far, I've only read novel isekais where the MCs are either involved in the story from birth (reincarnated) or they went back in time.
For this one, the original princess died and the MC took over the princess' body. Unlike other isekais, the MC has no idea what will happen next since it's already the after-story. So it's up to the MC to create her own story thus, the title "Happily Ever Afterwards".
In her previous life, the MC, now called Princess Peony, has a favorite character/bias in the novel name Richt. In the novel, Richt is the tragic second lead who was exiled after starting a rebellion against the novel's hero and heroine; his brother and THE crown prince, Mikhail and his first love and brother's fiance, Hestia.
Peony absolutely LOVED Richt and thinks he is misunderstood and deserved to be happy. If only she could bring him happiness right? Then an idea struck her. Since she is at the novel's after story, she could change Richt fate and save him! And how you ask? By marrying him and becoming a great wife of course!
The premise of the story is totally relatable! Fictional guys are hot but they ain't real. But what if they WERE real? What would you do? Well, Ms. Peony here knows what she wants, she will marry her favorite character no matter what.
Peony now has a goal but conflicts got in her way. You see, the original Princess Peony is very fragile and sickly (thus why she died). Because of this, her family is overprotective and doted on her so much. The land where Lord Richt was exiled is very cold and almost unhabitable, it's a big red flag for her and her health. But girlie really wanted to make her bias happy so she said fck it, I'm going no matter what. Convincing her family to go and propose to him was challenging but Peony managed to convince them anyways.
Fast forward, Peony was able to travel to Lord Richt's residence and has many plans of winning him over. She proposed to him but was rejected. However, she won't back down without a fight! He is her bias after all so she knows everything about him! She believes that if she makes the right moves, he will eventually warm up to her.
However, making Richt fall for her was harder than expected. Despite knowing the things on how to pull his heart strings (example: giving him sweets), he is still so rude, aloof and cold towards her.
Despite Richt pushing her away, Peony would almost push back and would never leave. She put her foot down and declared that she WOULD marry him. Eventually, the two made a truce that if Peony made him fall for her in 100 days, he would marry her. And thus, begins their love story.
Their love story is actually cute. I won't spoil anything but I really love the development between the two as well as their chemistry. Sometimes I find myself giggling about how cute they are. I really love Peony as she is so pure, adorable, cheerful and strong. She's strong in the sense that she is very determined, driven and she knows what she wants. She is not afraid to try as she always takes the first step all the time which I admire very much. This attitude of hers really fits well with our male lead, Richt.
Now with Richt, I love him and Peony together but alone, I don't think he is on my favorite characters list. For me, this guy is just a big red flag. I'm not really a fan of tsundere male leads so I might be biased on this but he really gets on my nerves sometimes. He gets angry all so suddenly and he expects Peony to know why the hell is he angry about. And when Peony wants to talk about it, he lashes out like, okay dude chill, she just wants to understand you.
He has his moments sure, he even makes me swoon sometimes, but most of the times he is just a big jerk. I almost dropped this series because of how he treats Peony badly on the first half of the series. As much I love Peony, she sometimes can be so pushy. She has that "I can fix him" mindset so yeah, I kinda get annoyed at her sometimes because it hurts to see her so determined when her efforts aren't even reciprocated.
Despite that, I kept reading this manhwa because my good friend recommended this to me and she loved it very much so I gave it a chance. I was thinking the whole time that Peony is so perfect for him because she has so much patience dealing with his moodiness. If I were her, I would dump his ass a long time ago :D
Anyways, the story itself was interesting. The main focus is the main couple's romance but the subplots are good too. The story of the rebellion has an unexpected twist and the love story of the second couple is very adorable as well. I really love Andy since he's such a cutie and a green flag! He is one of my favorite characters.
Reading it is entertaining and I was satisfied with the ending. My only problem is with the male lead at first but I guess it worked out for them both at the end. It was cute and I would recommend it to those peeps who loves the cold guy x cheerful girl dynamic.
Hi! This is a very short review of Sabrina Carpenter's "emails i can't send" album!
I first posted this on twitter and I have to describe my thoughts with the characrer limit so some are very short!
1. emails i can't send

Anyway i like how it is so raw and honest. I also love the melody.
2. Vicious
Rating: 8.5/10

Very catchy. I love the instrumental. The bridge was also good. I added this on my playlist~ It also reminded me of someone I know who fits the song perfectly
3. Read Your Mind
Rating: 8/10
Thoughts:
Another catchy song 👏
I LOVE the beat, it makes me wanna dance. My fave part is the pre-chorus! The lyrics is about frustration towards someone who is really indecisive 😂
4. Tornado Warnings
Rating: 7.5/10
Thoughts:
That bass tho. The song is good but not something i would have on repeat. Bridge is good! Her vocals are pretty.
5. because i liked a boy
Rating: 8/10
Thoughts:
Is this about the whole driver's license situation? I love the chorus of this one. I kinda sympathize with her bc people can be so cruel. Like, they are so fast to jump on that hate train when they only know a snippet of what happened.
6. Already Over
Rating: 8/10
Thoughts:
Chorus is very catchy and I love the beats. The melody is upbeat and reminds me of vlog music but the lyrics is pretty sad.
7. how many things
Rating: 8.5/10
Thoughts:
Tbh I paid no attention to this song on first listen but upon reading the lyrics, I find it really sad. It's about realizing that ur special someone is slowly falling out of love w/ you. I love the pre chorus her vocals are really heavenly. One of my faves in this album.
8. bet u wanna
Rating: 8.5/10

An absolute banger for me 👏
It's about those exes who wants to come back 🙄
I like the scoff on the bridge 😂
Definitely going on my playlist
9. Nonsense

ever really meant it "
Rating: 7.5/10
Thoughts:
Love the instrumental and the chorus is catchy.
P.S. I've reached the image limit so no images from here onwards
11. skinny dipping
"We've been swimming on the
edge of the cliff
I'm resistant, but goin' down
with the ship
It'd be so nice right? Right?
If we could take it all off and just
exist
And skinny dip in water under the
bridge"
Rating: 7/10
Thoughts:
Feels like a song from a musical. I like the chorus.
12. Bad for Business
"He's good for my heart but he's
bad for business"
Rating: 8.5/10
Thoughts:
Have you been so inlove that you did things that are not very typical of you? If yes, then this is the song for you. I love this song bc i can relate to it ><
13. decode
" You're good at falling, not
the staying there
You're good at the giving too
much then getting scared
You're good at impersonating
someone who cares "
Rating: 8/10
Thoughts:
It's a song for those who had the courage to walk away from a very toxic relationship :)
A little bit overdue but this is gonna be a short review of Born Pink album.
Born Pink is the second full album of Blackpink, a south korean girl group under YG entertainment.
Just a PSA: I'm a Blink so I might be a bit biased with my opinions ><
I remember the hype of this last year because they rarely release comebacks! The moment I heard there was a FULL album, I immediately pre-ordered all versions.
Anyways, this review will be super short compared with the one I did with Olivia's Sour album so without further ado, let's go!
1. Pink Venom
Rating: 8/10
Thoughts:
Ok don't be mad but on first listen, I absolutely hated the chorus. I love everything except that chorus. But well since I keep streaming, it kinda grew on me 😂 Now it's my freakin anthem lol.
JenLisa rap parts were fire and ChaeSoo bridges were amazing! The "Blackpiiiink" chant was amazing as well. We sounded like a cult when we were chanting it on the concert ><
2. Shut Down
Rating: 9/10
Thoughts:
I LOVE this song no matter what anyone says. For me, it's one of their best title songs Jisoo's chorus part is fire, what a bias wrecker. I like the mix of classical La Campanella strings and modern beats. Also, the MV gave me goosebumps and made me cry a little. I've been a blink since their debut and seeing them reference and recreate their previous MV scenes made me realize that they made it despite all the hate that they got. My girls came so far 🥺
Also the lyrics?? Like hello! It's obviously for those who are dragging them down. My favorite lines are "Bunch of wannabes that wanna be me, me three of I was you" and "Praying for my downfall many have tried baby" like yes girls tell 'em!
Whip it whip it whip it is hard to pronounce tho haha
3. Typa Girl
Rating: 8/10
Thoughts:
This song has been stuck in my head for months. I lost count of how many times I had this on repeat haha. I absolutely love the beats and the line, "I bring money to the table not your dinner".
Lyrics is a bit of a pick me girl moment but eh, it's good and catchy 🤷♀️
Also, has anyone watched their Coachella set for this song??? The choreo? The creative direction?? EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. Blackpink headlining Coachella is well deserved 👏👏
4. Yeah Yeah Yeah
Rating: 7/10
Thoughts:
A song written by Rosie and Jichu! Finally members getting credited amirite?? I actually like it. It's kinda perfect for encores and ending their concerts. Has a retro vibe.
GIF is from yours truly~ They sang this song in Born Pink Bulacan!
5. Hard to Love
Rating: 10/10
Thoughts:
My absolute favorite. This is what I expected Rose's solo to be like haha. OTG and Gone are good but Hard to Love is THE song for her. This song is stuck in my playlist for months. The guitar is just ❤️❤️
Please Rosie sing this on your tours or concerts I'm begging you.
6. The Happiest Girl
Rating: 7/10
Thoughts:
It's a pretty...sad song. The lyrics hurt my heart and soul. Maybe it's a song when you are going through a breakup.
I was shookt when Lisa sang! She has such a pretty voice.
I gave it a 7 score bc well it's not really my cup of tea (don't attack me pls). It's good tho don't get me wrong but personally won't have it on repeat.
7. Tally - 10/10
This song is one of my faves. It has a pretty great message about just being yourself and never minding what other people says.
For me, this song reflects them SO much. Let's be honest here, they've been through so much unneccessary hate. Everything they do, no matter how small, is just always under scrutiny. Like, give them a f**cking break 🙄 So yes, I imagine that this is THE comfort song for them. We say f*ck when we feel it \m/
8. Ready for Love
Rating: 7.5/10
Thoughts:
I actually like this song why do other Blinks shade it so much 😅
The bridges are probably my favorite! Jisoo + bridges are such a good combination

REVIEW (until epsiode 62):
Before we proceed to the review, I just want to say Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all will have a great year.
This 2023, I hope I can read and review a lot of webtoon or manhwas. I currently have a lot of backlogs for review so I hope I can finish those too!
This review is my first entry for this year! This manhwa is actually reccommended to me by my boyfriend and he insisted that I would not regret reading it and you know what, he was right! This comic did not dissappoint.
The introduction of this series is your typical isekai. Guy reads a novel, guy is transported to the said novel and yada yada. The isekai trope is done to death I know, but I think what separates this manhwa amongst the rest is its main premise wherein our main protagonist is an engineering student who uses his modern skills and knowledge to improve the current medieval world he is in.
The main character, Suho Kim a.k.a Lloyd Fronterra, is a very likeable, funny and refreshing MC. His main goal is to be filthy rich because in his past life, he is a very poor student.
He uses this motivation in order to survive the current world he is in even though sometimes his ways are quite questionable. His current body, Lloyd Frontera is the duke's son who is known to be a thug and a troublemaker. This actually puts him at a disadvantage at the start since no one wants to be associated with him. However, he finds a way to actually use this as an advatage to achieve what he wants.
He may seem like a selfish, capitalistic and opportunistic person, which is kinda true but his intentions are quite good. Although he talks a lot about money, when looking at the bigger picture, he provides people with comfortable housing, jobs and he even paid off his family's debt.
He also provides innovation to the people using his modern knowledge and he is also very hands on and hardworking with the projects he initiates, making it satisfying everytime an arc is finished. So I guess one thing I learned, is money is such a great motivator.
He certainly has a lot flaws, but I don't hate him? He's only mean to the people who gets on his bad side and they kinda deserve it especially once you knew what kind of people they are and what kind of things they did. So I don't really have a problem with it cuz it's karma at work.
Now with regards to the relationship. I....I ship him with the second lead Javier >//<
I just LOVE their chemistry! It reminds me of this ship dynamic:
Javier is SO done with every sht Lloyd does but is always there to support him. I love their banters and I just find their interactions so hilarious!
I kinda feel bad for Javier sometimes though since he is always in the middle of Lloyd's schemes but all is well since deep down he knows that helping Lloyd matches his own personal views and interests.
As for other characters, I really like Lloyd's parents, the queen, the cute animal summons, Sir Bayern and many more! All of these characters are influenced one way or another by Lloyd and helps him with his goal to get richer-- I mean, to help the people of their estate.
As for the story, I really like it! I like the pacing and of course, I live for its comedy. So far, I have no complaints. Oh! Maybe one con is, it is too good that I binged it for a few days and was left empty because I reached the latest chapter and was left hanging. I wish they could update 3x a week TT
The art is really good too. It has an anime vibe to it and also, I can't help but notice that the artist seems to like muscles a lot 👀
I also like how they drew the characters' expressions! It's just too funny! I like how they emphasize how cunning Lloyd is using his expressions!
Overall, is this a must read? HELL YEAH.
I didn't gave much details for this review because I don't want to spoil anything~ You gotta see how good it is for yourself~

REVIEW (until episode 128):
I first read this webtoon during its first release and re-release back in 2018. I read this comic again last month because I stopped reading it around 2020. I wanted to continue reading it once the 2nd season is completed cuz I hate cliffhangers.
Now that all chapters for season 2 are available, I'll be able to review this comic~
A little bit of summary.
Paul, our protaganist, is an ordinary boy that has the biggest crush on this girl named Elena who works at a café. He wanted to ask her out so he did the most rational thing a person can do, buy a book of the occult and summon a demon to help him.
Paul summoned not just any demon, but a powerful and high ranking duke of hell named Astaroth.
source: unfins (twitter)
This comic is actually my favorite comic in the comedy genre. The synopsis captured my interest because a guy summoning a high ranking demon for love advice sounds like a recipe for disaster. When I was done reading the first chapter, I was sold because it already had me giggling.
The comedy in this comic is just pure gold. Chef's kiss! I like how every chapter makes me laugh. Like, not the quiet kind of laugh but really laugh out loud!
The delivery and timing of the punchlines are perfect and unpredictable. Sometimes you think the characters are being serious but then something absurd and outrageous happens which makes you laugh unexpectedly. I would also like to highlight the characters' reactions and expressions because it makes everything 5x funnier.
R/N: Juliet has the most relatable reactions lmao
I have to be honest, at first I thought it's just a gag comic that only circles around its initial premise and has no progress at all. You know, a comic made just for laughs. But I was so wrong! I am kind of surprised that it has development in both the characters and the story! Like what? This comic has actual plot??
The development of the story is actually really good and interesting. There are a lot of twists too so it makes you wanna read more to know what will happen next.
Season 2 & 3 focuses more on the plot but the humor is still consistent which is great since I think the comedy is what this comic is known and loved for.
Character-wise, i like all of them! Oh! a little tip when reading this comic but don't judge the characters at face value because they sometimes turn out differently than what they seem! Some characters may look scary but they are actually really nice. Some characters look really cool or intimidating but they actually arent 🤣
R/N: this guy here had me fooled
The main characters have very interesting and unexpected development as well although sometimes they make dumb and questionable things.
To be fair, the decisions that they make are useful to the plot and in-character so it kinda makes sense. My fave character is probably Vin, our resident bystander who wants nothing to do with any events in the story but gets dragged anyway.
His arc is actually very funny and his development is actually what I least expected.
R/N: Vin before and after. They really pushed him too hard huh ><
Overall, I really love this comic and will reccommend this to others especially those who likes comedy or if you want something to make you smile or laugh.

A little spoiler btw!
Gonna post Paul's Demon form because he looks cool and hot
his abs tho

ADDITIONAL REVIEW (since this webtoon is already completed)
Soooo I kinda feel sad hahaha.
The series actually ended a few weeks after I wrote my initial review so yeah, I feel kinda empty after finishing it.
I am not aware that it ended so I expected a few more chapters. But then it dawned on me when I read the author's epilogue. I didn't even know that I was reading the last chapter 🤣
Well anyways, the series is still great although the ending felt like a cliffhanger. I'm not sure if the author will continue the story but I will commend them because I really enjoyed this series a lot! I will miss the characters and all their mishaps!
The beautiful Athanasia was killed at the hands of her own biological father, Claude de Alger Obelia, the cold-blooded emperor! It’s just a silly bedtime story… until one woman wakes up to suddenly find she’s become that unfortunate princess! She needs a plan to survive her doomed fate, and time is running out. Will she go with Plan A, live as quietly as possible without being noticed by the infamous emperor? Plan B, collect enough money to escape the palace? Or will she be stuck with Plan C, sweet-talking her way into her father’s good graces?!

REVIEW:
Re-read this again because it is finally completed and I can binge read it without cliffhangers!
This is my first isekai webtoon and also my favorite so it holds a very special place in my heart!
Reading this again is pretty nostalgic! I remember those times where I am so excited when a new chapter comes out every few to several months. The wait is sometimes long but it is very worth it although sometimes it leaves you hanging.
It is completed now so I am able to enjoy this manhwa in its full glory! I will be reviewing the story, art, and give some opinions about the characters~
A little bit of recap:
The story starts with our main character being self aware that she had been isekai'd/reincarnated to a novel she read back in her previous life.
baby Athy is so adorable
Her main dillema was that apparently, she has been reincarnated as the tragic Princess Athanasia in a novel called "Lovely Princess".
In the original novel, Athanasia or Athy is the daughter of an Emperor named Claude de Alger Obelia. Although she was his only child and daughter, he never acknowledged nor cared for her since her birth, making her seem like a forgotten princess.
At the age of 9, she met her father accidentally while wandering around the palace grounds. Being a neglected child who craved for love and affection from a parent, she decided to win her father's favor by doing her best to be a great princess. However, her efforts were always fruitless since she was shunned and ignored by her father everytime.
When she was 14 and attending her debutante ball, a girl named Jeanette, who also happens to be the main protagonist of the novel, was introduced to the emperor as his daughter. Jeanette was accepted as a princess and as the story progress, Jeanette slowly gained their father's affection and approval due to her bright, gentle, and cheerful personality. Athy on the other hand was still neglected (poor bby..)
Then Jeanette has this aunt who wanted her to be the next heir to the throne. Since Athy is Jeanette's competition, she devised a plan to get rid of her for good by poisoning Jeanette and framing Athy for it.
The plan of Jeanette's aunt was successful since Claude believed the accusations that Athy poisoned Jeanette. Despite being innocent, Athy was then sentenced to death and executed.
Now in order to avoid the same tragic fate as the original Athanasia, our main character made a plan to collect as much trinkets and jewelry as much as she can gather so that she can have money and run away from the palace when she comes of age. She also planned to avoid the emperor as much as possible for her survival since it seems like the emperor has some sort of Vendetta towards her.
she loves gold so she can take it with her when she runs a way lol
However! Her plans were utterly destroyed when she met the emperor 4 years earlier than the original Athy. This made her come up with a new plan to try and charm the emperor like Jeanette did by being cute and charming in order not to be killed.

Thoughts! (contains spoilers!)
This manhwa is my favorite for a reason! It is a complete package and something that I will recommend!
It is a cute and heart warming coming of age story with many twists and turns. The story telling is great and compelling. It keeps you interested and makes you want to read more because you just HAVE to know what will happen next.
The characters are also very well-written! I like mostly everyone in the story. I wish some characters have side stories or spin offs because they are so lovable and likeable. The chemistry between the characters are so great that I was kinda sad when I learned that the series already ended. I wanted more character interactions!
The relationship between Athy and her father is very cute and sweet. It's very amusing to see a very stoic Claude be full of emotions when it comes to his daughter. I wanted more stories or scenes about a doting Claude especially now that Athy has suitors!

On the romance aspect, the love triangle between Athy, Ezekiel and Lucas makes my heart flutter so much. Ezekiel is nice and a textbook example of a prince/gentleman buuut I just ship Athy and Lucas so soooo much!
A little bit of spoiler but that scene where Athy kissed Lucas on the cheek will be forever etched in my memory!

They are so cute and lovely together! I can't express how much I adore them so much. I like how Athy can be herself around Lucas and I love how chill and supportive Lucas is around Athy. Even though he is a very powerful magician and can take away Athy's problems in a snap, he still respects her decisions and trusts her judgement to solve the difficulties she face. He is also protective of Athy (in a healthy way) which is a major plus point!
I also love the scenes where the two male leads clash! The way they try win Athy's affection is amusing and funny cuz they are both competitive.
I just wished to have more side stories about Felix and Lily, Jeanette and Anastacius, and also Claude and Diana's past! Not sure if the actual novel has stories about them but if there are, I hope they get illustrated too because the art is excellent!
The artsyle is just chef's kiss! I really love how the characters are drawn cuz all of them are drop dead gorgeous! I think what stands out the most with the artsyle are the eyes, hair, and detailed clothing. As a shoujo fan, I am in love with the way the eyes and hair are drawn since it is sparkly and full of life and character.
The costume design is superb and can I just say the people behind the manhwa have great taste in fashion? All characters are stylish but I love Athy's dresses the most.
The Alice themed dress, confrontation dress, and debutante ball dress are very iconic to me.
Overall, you can tell I really love this manhwa! Maybe the things I kind of see as lacking is the way Aeternitas' story was told and also, major spoiler alert, neither Ezekiel nor Lucas ends up with Athy. I really wanted that Lucas end game!
The ending was ok and a great ending for an arc. I heard there are more post-Aeternitas events that happened on the novel so I guess it is up to the creators of the manhwa to decide if they'll illustrate that in the future or not.
I just have a lot to say about this manhwa but this post is getting long! Maybe I'll make a part 2 for my character opinions but lets see~

Overall Rating: 4.5/5 (minus 0.5 cuz no Lucas x Athy endgame lol)
It’s hard dating someone who won’t give you the time of day. Su-ae Shim knows that better than anyone, having dated her indifferent boyfriend, Minu Kang, for years. She sometimes wishes she could be more like her charismatic stepsister, Ra-im, who seems to have it all. But life takes a turn for the weird when Su-ae discovers Jellypop, a sentient flip phone, in her locker. Jellypop has a lot to say about her love life, especially as Su-ae drifts further away from Minu and finds herself running into Minu’s friend, Eunhyeok. Add to the mix a growing suspicion that Minu and Ra-im might be more than friends, and Su-ae might need a miracle to navigate the ups and downs of high school romance!

CHAPTER 1-27 Review
I first stumbled upon this web comic on Webtoon. My interest was piqued the moment I laid my eyes upon the cover art because the artstyle is totally my type.

The story starts off in quite an interesting note. The female lead, Su-ae, is in possession of a device where she can see how much love a person will receive and give in their lifetime. If you watched Death Note, she kinda has shinigami eyes but with a cupid filter.

The problem is, she can also see her own love meters but to her shock and confusion, both the love she will receive and give in her lifetime is 0.

The premise is very intriguing and promising and the art is absolutely, a solid 10/10, however, the characters are very unlikeable and the story telling is a bit all over the place.
This comic is full of tea, like, there's cheating, jealousy, betrayal, scheming. The drama in its tag is that kind of drama.
The characters just do a lot of questionable and dumb things that make either my blood boil, my head hurt or make me go "wtf?"
Spoiler warning, the female lead is very frustrating because she tolerates her emotionally abusive boyfriend too much. I mean yes I get it, they've been in a long-term relationship and it is hard to let that go but girl, think twice if everyone around you is saying your boyfriend is shit and you need to break up with him. Literally the whole school is aware of their toxic relationship and she still refuses to listeeeen.
It's such a headache when she still manages to forgive him even though he's a straight up asshole. SHE EVEN FORGAVE HIM DESPITE CHEATING ON HER WITH HER OWN BEST FRIEND/SISTER.
I---I am just loss with words.
When she FINALLY broke it up with his boyfriend (now ex), this is where she and the other male lead (EunHyuk) got closer to each other. He is a sweetheart but he's quite rude to her sometimes so I'm a bit neutral about him. Then when it seems like Eunhyuk is developing feelings for her, do you know what Su-ae does?? SHE GOT BACK WITH HER EX.
LIKE???? GIRL WHAT???
She got back with him because her then 0 heart stats suddenly increased because her ex got jealous of her and Eunhyuk's closeness. She then realized that whenever her ex gets jealous, her hearts increases AND THEREFORE, she cooked up a plan to have an affair with Eunhyuk to make her ex more jealous and thus, increase her hearts.

And at this point in the story I was SO done with her. WHY 👏 ARE 👏 YOU 👏USING 👏EUNHYUK. I am just so mad and frustrated that I gave up reading this comic and went on to rant about it to my boyfriend.
The supernatural stuff was interesting but it was overshadowed by the drama that its introduction was kinda awkward and out of place. Latest chapters were very confusing that it felt like I skipped some chapters when I didn't.
Overall, first few chapters were okay but it gets more and more annoying as you read it. It's an ongoing series but will I continue reading it? Probably not.
