There's something I'd like to point out: Lena knows that Kara is sincere in her guilt and want to be real friends. She wouldn't be able to manipulate Kara's emotions very effectively if that weren't the case. And yet, she's still continuing down this path.
This isn't about Lena not being able to trust Kara anymore, it's about Lena being completely unable to handle the realities of "human" relationships. Realities which include "human" error. Instead of learning how to accept and interact with people as they are, Lena has decided to forcefully change people to fit her standards.

I am still sorting out my feelings but currently: Tangled: The Series objectively sticks the landing, I’m just trying to figure out who started this trend of, ‘we’re a very tightly knit found-family that has to break up in order to really achieve personal growth’ because it’s killing me a little, each time it happens. XD
I am sensing a trend
