People do understand that twenty questions is an actual game right???? That its not people asking each other a bunch of random questions, right???? I have never once seen a fic that mentions twenty questions actually understand that it's a game of guessing what someone is thinking about within 20 yes or no questions.

Somehow, even after the finale, I'm still seeing a very specific sentiment around Pomni.

I need people to understand: Pomni is not an especially anxious person. She's actually the least inherently anxious of the cast I would argue, aside from Kinger and maybe Zooble. Early episodes had her thrown into absurd and overwhelming circumstances, no one sane would handle that well immediately.

Kinger specifically mentioned that Pomni actually adjusted incredibly fast, and, otherwise, she is confirmed to be a bit of a thrill seeker. She may have her fears and flaws, but she is honestly a fairly well adjusted and self-secure person compared to the rest of the cast. It's part of how she managed to connect to the others and help them; she didn't get caught up in her head or her insecurities and paid attention to them. This allowed her to see them for who they actually were.

thinking about general herres horizon: zero dawn today. about the man who agreed to and executed project enduring victory, knowing it was a futile effort except to buy time for zero dawn to bring back new life one day in a distant future the people fighting would never see.

about how even though he must have believed it was the only way to ensure humanity didn't go extinct, he still saw lying to the world's civilians to get them to fight a losing battle as the crime that it was, and specifically asked elisabet to keep a recording of his confession to that fact in apollo's archives so that the humans who took this knowledge could learn all the better not to let this kind of atrocity be "necessary" ever again. to not make the same mistakes. the way he gently refuses elisabet's small attempt to ease his conscience with a reminder that it was necessary this time.

and then i think about ted faro, the man who could not stand the idea of his legacy being spoilt by his own actions. the man who wiped apollo clean and robbed the new generations of humans of all that knowledge just to keep his memory from being "he who ended the world."

and i believe we are meant to hold these two things up and examine them together, actually. i think they're in conversation. hm.

I was thinking about the concept of 'I'd kill for you' 'I'd die for you' 'I'd live for you' and though of Daisy Johnson

Im sure someone's already thought of this but Daisy's 3 main relationships in the show reflect the concept so well, with Grant being the 1st one and Lincoln the 2nd one and Daniel the 3rd one.

Cause while being ready to kill and die for someone romantic or whatever, I thinking living for someone is the greatest thing you can do.

Has anyone really brought up the implications of the truck in episode 4 being conjured by Gangle?

It's essentially confirmed canon by now that she was hit by a vehicle before everything. But if that's the case, than there's no way that that truck was a spot of bad luck within the circus. More likely it was an internal response to that moment of peace, and Gangle's inability to hold on to those feelings.

She was feeling good for a second, and her brain found it so unfamiliar that it hijacked the moment with some trauma so intensely that she accidentally conjured, similarly to Pomni needing escape in the Pilot.

adding to this, i personally think Aloy's an intrinsically compassionate person herself, so side quests aren't off-brand

contributed to a little by Rost's raising, a little by Elisabet's genes (the woman who healed and saved the world a thousand years ago, hello!), and a little something uniquely Aloy, maybe her life in the wilds learning how it feels to be alone in your struggles.

A moment I think would be fun to see in horizon 3 would be Beta having to impersonate Aloy. Either as a deliberate misdirection or Beta frantically trying to cover for Aloy. Bonus points if Aloy is there to witness/has to give hints.
