I WILL WIN

Over the last four to five weeks of my life, I have made a huge pivot forward. I’ve been out of social media. I’ve made some huge comebacks in my school and work life.

I am now a junior majoring in Computer Science, while last semester that was challenging to say the least. However, I finished strong and gained skills that will help me in my pursuit of a Computer Scientist career. I took Data Structures, Assembly Language and Computer Organization, and a Python Programming class. I learned a lot! Especially in the first two classes. I really enjoyed them all. The one I found most challenging was Data Structures, but it has made me a better programmer. I now have a new reputare of algorithms at my disposal for research and development. Assembly has taught me to program at the low level and furthered my understanding of coding, hardware, circuits, computers, etc. Lastly, Python fully enhanced what I already knew, I am able to create full software development cycles with ease .

I am also happy to say that in April, I landed my first internship. I am now an Engineering Intern at Snap On. Snap On is a huge world known company that is in over 130 countries and 5 continents. This was a huge win for me and this is only the beginning. It is truly a blessing to gain an internship for my Sophomore summer. I will be working extremely hard and hope to benefit from the real world experience of the internship!

Most of all, I’m making a huge comeback in my life. I’m seeing doors open where there were once walls. I’ve always been a people person and now, I’m becoming even a stronger one. I believe that I WILL WIN. It’s mid 2016 and there is at least 20 + years until we reach 2045 and beyond (see video below). I have a lot of work still left to do. I’m currently developing my own vision for the future and I must say, it is marvelous. Here is a preview of just some of the possibilities that we can reach by 2045. But, what you must know, is that we need as many people interested in science and technology that we can possible get. Together we can change the world and beyond.

Amazing right? Of course, we need people with attitudes of when they wake up everyday in the morning that they can say to themselves, “I WILL WIN” . I hope you will join this movement, it is worth it Beyond measure.

The world is always constantly changing; however, it is beginning to change rapidly.

In every generation there are those with innovative ideas that influences technology forever. We are in an age where we will see amazing things happen in our lifetimes similar to the drastic changes that happened in the 18th and 19th century, the industrial revolution. It is believed that we are living in a new revolution, a revolution where the voice of the people is heard much louder and faster than ever before. Our revolution is the tech revolution. Code is a major player in this revolution. It is a major player in the game of evolution. It is changing everything.

My generation is thought of as digital natives. We are called digital natives because we were born in the digital age. To be up to date in today’s society and thrive, being tech savvy is a must when it comes to working in any industry. When I was a little kid I grew up watching Star Trek. It is so amazing to me that I am starting to see technology such as 3D Printers, iPhones, Tablets, Automation with Artificial Intelligent Robots, and will see more than predictors, thought we would ever see in our lifetime. One amazing fact about science and technology is that what once used to take 10 years to develop now takes six months. That’s how fast technology is moving, and I am definitely loving it. I believe technology will even begin to move faster with supercomputers that are already here and are currently being developed.

One of the most important skills in the future will be knowing how to code. It is ranked as one of the top skills to learn by Business Insider and other well-known business sites. What is so amazing about learning how to code is that these skills can be used in any field. For example, medicine, agriculture, sports, marketing, entrepreneurship, business, banking, manufacturing, automation, restaurants, retail, and more all need programmers.

Computer Science is changing research like never before. For the first time ever we are fully 3D printing body parts that are fully functional to help save lives. In 3 to 5 years, 3D printing of hearts might be ready to start changing the heart transplant industry. One-day people won’t have to donate their hearts. They will simply just pay for a 3D printed heart to be put into their loved ones. It will be more than a game changer, it will be a life changer!

One the other hand, what will you create? What will be your vision, will you create something new, become a leader, or will you sit back and follow others? The tools and choices are in your hands. Making a wise decision will be beneficial for your future. Remember to experiment, fail forward, learn, and repeat. Failing forward makes you stronger. Just remember that success takes time, and with technology, less time than you’d think. You get out of something what you put in it. So, get out there and put your innovation and creativity into technology and change the world!

Last week was a good week. I wrote my first Python programs that week. I found that Python was a very high level language. It is very similar to English and has built in programming functions. My first programming assignment wanted us to do three things.We calculated the price with both state and county taxes, converted Celsius to Fahrenheit, and calculated the stock earning of a particular person. For me, it was very fun and simple since my programming foundation is in C++.

There are a few reasons why I wanted to take a Python class at my school. One, I enjoy learning new languages. Two, Python is ranked one of the top 10 languages to know in 2016. Three, there is a huge Python community especially on GitHub. And lastly, Python is a very powerful language used in the real world. Just see the video above, and maybe you will want to learn Python as well.
