He has a controlling aspect to him that's very subtle on screen. He's a bit of perfectionist so he can't really tolerate things that aren't done his way/the way that he thinks should be done. He says things in a passive aggressive/roundabout way, so if you don't know him well or if you're not very sensitive, you could think he's complimenting you or saying good things about you.

In the marriage Ryu Suyoung can seem like the perfect husband to others, but behind the scenes, there is an element of control/possessiveness from him. I get the sense that he does control his wife in subtle ways. The wife feels he's dependable and reliable; she's not as clever as he is and she is kind of dense, so she isn't able to fully know him (from what I can sense).

It's possible for them to divorce some time later in the marriage or around 2027 to 2033. It depends on how fast his wife realizes what has been going on over the years and it also depends whether he continues to make money. As long as he is able to provide for the family and doesn't restrict her spending too much, she's willing to turn a blind eye to a lot of things.

Ryu Suyoung has kept a lot of secrets from his wife. It's possible that some of these secrets will be exposed in the future and his wife may only know of them once they are exposed.

As the kids get older too, Ryu Suyoung will get more and more controlling over the children. The children may likely rebel and there's a chance that one of them can get into some trouble with the law in the future.
