SEND 💖 TO HOLD MY MUSE’S HAND;

    Perhaps it’s the gentle sway of the evening breeze that has the lieutenant giddy and uncharacteristically playful, or maybe it’s the events of a perfect evening spent in pleasant enough company.  Uninterrupted, peaceful and almost enlightening.

    She tries to fight the smile from showing the bartender just how much she enjoyed the evening, ( and losing. )  How could the once animosity between RED and BLUE dissipate so easily in his presence, once upon a time she would’ve laughed at the thought of - befriending Homra’s second - in - command.Yet here she was, trying to hold back giggles, and engaging in quiet, subtle flirts.

    “ I admit, I had a good time tonight.”  Best to under exaggerate, least he gets an over - ego boost from all these positive feelings.  She moves beside him, allowing their feet to take them through the one bit of green in the cement jungle known as the city.

    It’s unexpected in the next instance, to feel a warm hand wrapping itself around her generally cold, instinctively Seri wants to pull away - to hide back into the shell of defensive cynicism.    ( That would be a way to ruin a lovely evening, would he read too much into her pulling away … ? )

    She gives herself a quick moment, a turn of her head from ( the still linked ) partner, to will the heat on her cheeks to die down to the best of their ability.  WHY was romance such a difficult concept to work around ?

    A deep breath, or two, or three.  Attempting to calm the thunder in her chest, and the lightning buzzing through her skin, the point of origin a simple hand hold.  She could do this, she can work around her fear and apprehension.

    And finally, Seri works up the courage to                                                                       thread their fingers together.
