Here's the super beginner friendly tutorial I followed, it took me two weeks working on it on and off a couple hours at a time, you only need like, two beginner stitches and one of those is chaining, which is like. THE first thing you learn. I believe in you. Feel free to look up tutorials on the stitches as well, sometimes you need multiple tutorials to follow just one tutorial esp as a beginner! :)
after I made the first one I decided to ditch the second hook, which wasn't THE move, but if you only have one hook, I recommend making a few more chains to accommodate the width of your head, like 3-8 more chains should do it. Just try it on and make sure the ring fits loosely around your head bc that part folds over itself eventually and you need to leave a little space to accomplish The Other Layer Of Yarn, you'll see what I mean.
A little more intermediate, I still struggle with the magic circle part, but here's a tut for the skull applique I think this is the one I used! Just stuck a barrette through the underside and used that to pin it to my hat! Ez pz pumpkin pie

I found a blank red baseball cap in my things a few weekends ago that I bought for a hat DIY related to a manga. The hat remained blank until I saw the hat Jin wore in the concept photos for LOVE YOURSELF. The original is long sold out and those selling it are asking too much for it. (Coupled with the fact that I didn’t want to wear something that said stability/instability on it.)
A little fabric paint, masking tape, and time was all it took to make my version. The words are different as you can see. Because I had everything I needed for this project, it cost me nothing to make this hat versus the $200+ to buy it from a reseller.

on another note i really liked the tattoos they showed off in the video. i love the collage, nostalgia, sketchbook vibe, as well as the littlest pet shops! i really want to get some lps tattoos eventually so this is helping with my concepts.
