These Bleu Cheese Stuffed Hatch Chile Burgers are a mouthwatering delight, combining the rich flavor of bleu cheese with the smoky heat of roasted Hatch chiles. Perfect for a summer BBQ or any time you crave a gourmet burger experience.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 2 Hatch chiles, roasted and peeled. 4 oz bleu cheese, crumbled. 1/4 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup milk. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/4 tsp black pepper. 1/4 tsp garlic powder. 4 hamburger buns. Lettuce, tomato, and onion for garnish optional. Cooking oil for grilling.
Instructions: The ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder should all be mixed together in a bowl. Mix everything together well. Form the beef mixture into 8 thin patties that are all the same size. Place a small amount of crumbled bleu cheese on four of the patties, leaving a little space around the edges. Peel and roast a Hatch chile and put it on top of the bleu cheese on each patty. Place another patty on top of each stuffed patty and press the edges together to seal. This will make 4 stuffed burger patties. Set your grill to medium-high heat and use cooking oil to keep food from sticking. The stuffed burgers should be cooked on the grill for four to five minutes on each side, or until they are done the way you like them. For a minute or two, toast the hamburger buns on the grill until they are just barely golden. Place one stuffed patty on top of a toasted bun. If you want, add lettuce, tomato, and onion on top of each burger. Enjoy your tasty Bleu Cheese Stuffed Hatch Chile Burgers while they're still hot.
