That carpet haunts me. It vexes me. The fact that it exits in Fords bedroom/study in canon and Ford probably made it is!
I hate that thing. There's so much potential a body swapping carpet brings to any story, and all of it evades my grasp. I've only been able to motivate myself to write one carpet fic, and once it was done any interest in that cursed carpet vanished from my brain.
Its a body switching carpet! Endless possibilities! like feeling each others pains, exhaustion, mental illnesses, all of it!
But i cannot find it in me to be so inclined to write about it. It sits there on the ground, like the carpet it is, and does nothing for me. I'd stomp it into the ground, but its a carpet. Its made for that. It feels nothing about my frustration, and i am forced to sit above and glare at the potential it refuses to inspire in me.
