You’d think that by now, I’m used to saying goodbyes as I hug my loved ones at the airport. You’d think that by now, the acceptance of not being able to see and be with your loved ones for a period of time comes to me easily.

You’d think, ‘cause of course, I’d done this for years—almost all my life. Damn, I myself would think so too.

But no. It gets sadder everytime, it’s the same old feeling of dread of having the terrible distance separate us again, and the wishful thinking that somehow, things might change, and I don’t have to be away from them anymore. That someday, (and God, can that someday come faster?) I wouldn’t have to leave anyone behind—be it for 2 months or 2 years.

I just wanna be with all of my loved ones in one place at the same time.

god its really sinking in how ill my cat is right now... he hasnt eaten or drank since thursday before the emergency vet visit and hes notoriously difficult and wont let the vet do what she wants to wrt taking an xray of his throat

shes gonna give him a sedative and try and get a look at his throat while he's out and then send me home later with some appetite boosters, rich catfood, and more medicine

i really hope it works

i just keep thinking 'he'll never purr for me again, he'll never chase his toys around again, he'll never be meowing at the door when he hears me in the hallway again, he'll never rub up on me for scritches again, he'll never tear through the apartment like a hellion again' and just, crying

and on top of it i have to go to work and wait on ignorant assholes and pretend everything is okay when its Not.

I've never felt so anxious about work before. I haven't felt this anxious in months. I'm basically in the work equivalent of being thrown in the deep end. I can't swim. And there's stones in my pockets. Fantastic.
