We had an interesting topic in the english lessons. - Speak up!
We discussed about Hate Speach, about what a Hate Speach is and what the limits are. We came to the subject of bullying and the consequence suicide. A boy in my class said that not the bullies are guilty but the victims of the bullying. He said that it's their fault because they don't have enough confidence, because they don't fight back! In this moment I couldn't belive how blind, intolerant and ignorant people really are. Some kids laught during the discussion. I was angry, angry of people who don't take this issue serious. I asked the boy a question. I asked if he would rather die or live in a world where people make his life to a living hell. The class was quiet. However, even this question has not bought him to his senses.
Thing like this, things like bullying, suicide, being excluded and convicted because you don't fit in today's norm will always be there. Not everybody will understand how the real life looks like. If you are a victim of those things - stay strong. You might not belive me, but you are not alone. Nobody deserves that and if you see someone affected - HELP!
