Cadance chuckled at the sight before her. The former tyrant standing over the bath, her small foal splashing around within, both soaking wet, and covered in bubbles. If Shining had been present, surely this would’ve given him enough evidence to relax a little. To think how things could change so quickly...

“Your secret is safe with me,” She smiled lifting Flurry from her bath, and using her magic to wrap a towel around the giggling princess. “Though, I can’t promise my daughter’s silence as well.”

And it's coming close to being a crime. I know men who won't talk to a women out of fear of accusations.

We need to end this fear of the other genders.

  There was a snarl, a moment as her lip curled to bare fangs at the shadow king, but it was weak and short lived— She could feel her lids already drooping with exhaustion. But still she refused, she can’t give in.   Curse her insomnia for not kicking in for once. But she could feel how weak her body was, beaten up and bruised as it was. It was already so tempting, to trust his silver tongue and drift into a dreamless sleep. Still, she must keep up her guard. There was no way this stallion had any good intentions.

“ Like I could trust you- Thou could easily slay me in my slumber, and I won’t risk that, ” Luna said in a low growl, teal eyes piercing in the dark at the unicorn. “ There are still ponies out there who need me, unlike you. ”

As part of her yearly schedule Luster Dawn often visits the Crystal Empire to see Flurry Heart or to read books that are unique and only found in the empire. This visit around led to the young unicorn discovering a wing of the palace with a strange magical presence about the stone and crystal of its halls.

“The magic here feels old yet vaguely familiar to an artifact back in canterlot.”

Brimming with curiosity, Luster explored the wing looking around at the older tapestries and menacing decor. Coming across a study of sorts, she walked inside only to discover an artifact swelling with magical energy. Levitating the item it being a medallion of sort Luster took a closer look at it.

“W--What is this thing!! The magic coming off of it is insane! I should get this to Miss Cadance or father right away! I should try and cleanse it of this eyrie aura sweeping from it first.”

Enveloping the medallion in a cloak of light energy, she tried to cleanse it but faced the struggle of its power not expecting what would come next.

As soon as Celestia entered the mirror dimension, Sombra was quick to whisk her away to the wishing garden, just as eager as her to spend what little time they had together. They were both so touch starved they could barely keep their hooves off each other, and it became clear how much Sombra had missed her when he started trailing kisses down her neck and whispering sweet nothings.

“ Sombra, ” she breathed out his name with a sigh, hooking her hooves around his neck as they laid against the trunk of a tree. “ …I crave you just as much, love. You star in each and every one of my dreams. ”

░ ❤ ░  The princess of love waited for the backlash from the ex-king, any sign of disgust for the alicorn for taking his throne right at his grasp, but nothing came.  Slowly did her wings fold back to her side, but vibrant violet eyes remained focused on the tyrant as she furrowed her brow in confusion.  Her ears remained alert, unsure of the situation at first, but wanted to remain optimistic about the situation.  She was not a pony of showing anger or lashing out at others herself.  The magic emitting from her horn softened to a subtle glow before it extinguished itself.  He was not actively seeking a fight with her, so her defensive stature would only show rise tension from the conservation.  Clearing her throat to rid of any anger or spiteful tone from her words, the pink alicorn focused her gaze on the other.

         ❝You are not welcomed here, Sombra.  Your reign of terror ended long              ago when my aunts sealed you beneath the frozen tundra.  Yet you still             come here.  I’m not much of a fighter myself, but I will protect my subjects             if needed.  You must of come here with a purpose or intention, and I will             allow you to speak freely in this space as long as you have no ill intentions              to harm myself or the Crystal Ponies.  Speak your mind with ease.❞

Amber skies darkened to a deep shade of blue as the stars and moon came out to shine brightly through the pitch darkness of the blanket Princess Luna laid across the horizon.  An absentminded ear flicked from a crystal pony as she sat upon the balcony attached to the king’s chambers, her gaze focused on each twinkling jewel that the princess of the night crafted so carefully.  The sky was her canvas, and slight sigh drew from the mare’s lips as she twisted her head back to glance at the doorway.  

Rising from her spot, Opalescent Pearl made her way back inside of the warmth of the dark crystalline palace, avoiding the chill the night brought forth.  Her gaze flicked around the space of the room before her sights settled on the familiar dark figure of the king.  Quickly she trotted on over to his side, offering a hoof to help him with the disrobing by hanging the armored pieces and the brilliant red ermine cape on their stand.  Pearl mustered a smile, finally breaking the silence that only was accompanied by the crackling sounds of the fire.

       ❝Long day, your majesty?” she softly murmured to him, setting the last           piece of the leg armor on the rack.  “Although I suppose it doesn’t help           with the increasing amount of ponies rebelling.  Such a shame ponies           just... throw their lives away to fight for a fruitless cause.  I certainly do           not understand such thinking,” she looked back to the towering unicorn           king, her ears flicking up and focused on him.  “Are you going straight to           bed or would you prefer if I drew you a warm bath to relax in before bed?❞
