I'm just going to belt this out as it comes. I'm sickly, inspired and poetic. I am half functional as im running of cough syrup and dayquil. Bear with me...
Moo and Hauna being family (below cut)
She was a peculiar individual. Never in the many, many years of being trapped in a stovetop had i ever met such a peculiar little girl!
She'd been very timid. Unfamiliarity to her surroundings, i suppose... no matter. It had been about three days since the Mother Zoey had dropped her off to my weird, human companion. Is it foolish for a being as mighty as myself, to care?
No matter! Truly, no matter. It was a cool day outside- the sun had hardly been seen upon the mountains, from what i could see through the window to my left. Id just managed to drag one of Grimm's rings into my hoard, but my action was followed by soft, almost careful sorts of footsteps. Tap, tap, tap. Claws on tile, a familiar sort of sound.
I lifted my head a bit to peek through the top of the stove, lifting it up ever so slightly. There she was! The peculiar little child, in the mask of a rabbit.
I wouldnt say i have many friends- save Cinitti, of course. Cinniti could fit into the stove. But sonething about this child... it made me want to nurture and guide.
And with that, my eyes met hers. It must have startled her, seeing such round yellow eyes from a stovetop. How would you react of amber stones stared at you?
"Did you need sonething, child?"
"You can speak?" Her voice reminded me that of a small animal- mewly, soft and pitched. It trembled a bit as she spoke.
"Why, yes of course. Now whether i choose to speak is an entirely different story."
"Oh. That makes sense." She giggled softly.
"What are you doing at this hour, child? Did you need something?"
"Oh!" The realization hit her, as if she'd temporarily forgotten why she'd woken up in the first place. Perhaps i had startled her. "I was trying to get a little water, so i went to go ask Grimm, but they were asleep. I went to ask BBR, too! But, they were also asleep... and i don't know where Mr. Stag is."
"I promise you, theres no need to ask. Look behind you, young one. Do you see the pantry?"
"Yeah?"
"On the bottom, there's bottled water."
Why i had decided to assist the little girl, I'd never know. Is it silly of a dragon to care? Does it make me soft? I would hope not, but... perhaps this was the family Grimm had mentioned.
"Thank you, Mr-!" She paused, realizing she hadnt known my name.
"Ah'De Mavzin. You can call me something else, if that is easier for you."
"Hmmm..." she thought, pressing a finger to her masks chin almost cartoonishly. She smiled.
"Mr. Moo."
