A brief video of a car being painted in L.A. by Dereck Seltzer.
a staring man by Haunted Euth
BTS Video taken by Dereck Seltzer of the Angela Marklew & Tina St. Claire clothing / art themed photo shoot. Set design by Dereck Seltzer. Artwork by Tina St. Claire & Dereck Seltzer.
Tina St. Claire ( Tfail ) and Dereck Seltzer ( Haunted Euth ) began TMRWLND in their shared studio, crafting each layout, binding, and design details by hand—limiting each run to only 25 copies—even silkscreening each individual cover by hand, to create these precious objects for the world.
They both grew up avid learners and loners, finding solace and satisfaction in the late night bookstores and coffee shops, in the busy bustling L.A. Both were both compulsive creators, and found a large sense of satisfaction in the mutual work they shared and completed. St. Claire felt relaxed and most at ease when she was drawing; it was her safe space to work out thoughts and ideas that were not so easily expressed through words. Seltzer, on the other hand, has always had a dependency on creating and putting out material on a constant basis. He has said that he feels extremely uneasy if he does not have something creative to show for his time spent over the course of any given week. They both enjoyed the process of making work above all else, and rarely cared for the finished product. Seltzer compares this compulsion to an addict who enjoys the ritual of the preparation of the drugs prior to use—they truly enjoyed the process of making the art and zines as much, if not more than, the finished product.
