“It could be worse, you know? We could be stuck outside, in the storm, where our clothes would get soggy… our boots filling up with those little rain puddles.” Sophie tried in an attempt to cheer Joy up. It was an ironic situation, considering how Joy was always the implementer of positivity within the group. But the rest of the group was out, so she was stuck doing house sitting duty with Joy – who is almost never upset or pessimistic, until just thirty minutes ago when Sophie found out that storms could suck the joy out of… Joy. Storms didn’t bother her. It actually helped her think, to somber over sad things. Except she chose this moment to comfort her friend. After all, it’s not everyday she felt useful in boosting someone else’s confidence. “We could watch that happy movie you like. Minions, right? Yeah!” She pumped her fist in the air awkwardly, though her voice surprisingly sounded a lot less gloomy. “And we can make those cute little cupcakes you make at the end of every month. Maybe we can frost Minion designs on it. Would that help?”
