Freddy’s attention stayed on the others, laughing and chatting in the auditorium.
His eyes were a wider than usual, however- and he didn’t even register that Funtime Foxy had spoken to him.
All those guys, at that bright, dazzling, colorful Christmas party… the same one HE was at. But it didn’t feel like he truly was here.
…everyone was having fun.
Before he knew it, Freddy was being overtaken by sadness, longing.
The emptiness inside him that had formed the moment he realized he was never going to see Chica, Bonnie, or Foxy again…
“…mmhm.” The brown bear flattened his ears, finally blinking a couple times. He cleared his throat before shakily placing his embarrassingly simple beverage choice of water on the table behind him and his… friend?
He didn’t know. He couldn’t think about it.
A sudden wave of grief, the kind that felt like a kick in the face, made his inner structures abruptly fire up with both a cold sting and a red-hot burn.
“…I’ll be, uh-… right… back.”
With that, he was out of sight within seconds.
