Aeronese Intro - The Anthro Bug Dragons of the Star Aether Verse

The Aeronese people are a rare people of the universe after their home world was destroyed by the Triads. These people are separated into 2 types: Dukes and Pawns. The people is solely grayscale with colorful pupils that reflects eye and blood color.

Dukes are darker, bigger, with big fancy horns, and more colorful wings. They have hooked claws on their feet, and historically would have 'harems' of Pawns similar to a pride of lions, with Dukes being the male lion of the dynamic. As society grew this started disappearing, though due to the destruction of their home world this has semi come back.

Pawns are smaller, lighter, with more simple smaller horns, and have shorter chubby tails. Pawns are workers/care givers for the harem akin to female lions. They handled everything for the most part while Dukes were to be pretty and tough to fight off challenging Dukes. As society grew it became very common that most of the work force, law makers, care givers, healers, were Pawns.

Despite it seeming dukes were 'useless' by outside cultures, Dukes are the only way the species can reproduce, thus as culture and society grew, Dukes began to prove themselves in more ways they were suitable sires for young. Many would fancy on beauty and power to gain attention, with often being artisanal or musicians or dancers to be seen as desirable.

This has lead to a stereotype of Dukes being outside of such professions being 'oddballs', though some groups of pawns found them more attractive this way.

The people were space fairing, and were few of the only races that did not par take in the genocide of star folk, with slowly speaking out about it. This is due to them believing star makers where their ancestors, and the only times they have driven off star folks is when they were too close to the home world and their star. While they finally gain space travel and such at the tail end of the genocide they suffered greatly from it.

Disaster struck as the last known star eater going on the war path and destroying civilization after civilization, and the Aeronese being caught in the cross fire with their star being consumed.

The people scrambled to try and stabilize and keep their home world able to support life, but mass extinctions where happening bit by bit. Many Aeronese where split between fleeing or trying to save their home, but in the end they became the first people the Triads invaded, and those who had fled the planet being the main survivors of the people.

The main bulk of the people are together, with some straggling groups here and there, as the people struggle with trying to find a suitable place to try and restart their civilization.

Sophie, however, seemed a bit preoccupied. She was tapping out a melody on the table and humming, a sad light in her eyes. 

“Foster? Hello?” Keefe demanded. 

She looked up and smiled sadly. “Hey, Keefe.” 

He rolled his eyes. “Oh, look! Keefe’s here! Not that he’s been here for the past twenty minutes or anything!” 

He put his head on the table. “And yes, Keefe is referring to himself in the third person, because he is exhausted.” 

He looked up when he received no reply. “Wow, Foster. Not even an eye roll for that one?” 

She glanced over, seeming to finally realize what he was talking about. Her eyes widened. “Oh my gosh, I’m sorry, Keefe! I don’t know what got into me!” 

Keefe raised an eyebrow. “You don’t know, eh?” Sophie looked away, a blush crawling up her neck.
