The kitchen of a certain familiar home is permeated with a wonderful smell, intense and pleasant and likely a common occurrence when it came to the Lady of Whispers. Nobody but her would be none the wiser to, well.

Her not being home yet.

No there's a stranger in the kitchen, more or less. In person at least. Stories of mother had been shared but the woman herself had been scarce. Till today.

"Come on Hammond, tell us more about your 'friends.'"

Lee stared at the ground as he tried to worm his way around the kids surrounding him, "I don't want to," he mumbled.

"What was that?" The biggest kid, Michel, grabbed Lee's arm and shoved him back against the wall. "You need to speak up Hammond, we can't hear about your exciting friends if you mumble."

Lee whimpered and looked behind Michel at Kagome. She was furiously swinging her bow at the kids and shouting at them.

"Leave him alone! It's not his fault you're all too stupid to see or hear me! Stop pushing him!"

"Kagome, please stop," Lee whispered, shrinking away from everyone.

Michel laughed and shook Lee around some more, "Did you hear that? There's one here now. "Please stop?" What, are they trying to do something?"

The other kids surrounding Lee laughed, pushing each other around and making jokes about imaginary friends.

Kagome stomped her foot and stood in front of Lee, making a shoving motion. "I said, LEAVE HIM ALONE!"

Kagome's power surged forward and the bullies all stumbled backwards. They stared at Lee and he stared back, frozen in place.

"What the hell did you do freak?" Michel stayed where he was, but there was fear and malice in his voice that made Lee flinch, "What the Hell did you do?"

Lee trembled and took off down the hall, running away from the shouts of the bullies and away from Kagome. He ran away from school, not caring where he went, as long as it was away from everything.
