I'm delighted to find somebody else who wants to see more of Jeanne's entourage in Fate! Do you have any specific headcanons about them?
- Dunois ought to appear in his early twenties, all of them save La Hire should, in fact. It was a war fought by barely grown children trying to redeem the disaster their father brought (on the french side, but that’s the only one I’m interested in anyway) and it would be less evident if their summoned” selves appeared as adults. Plus, a bunch of 20s would go well with Fate marketable needs. Back to him, I’d also like if he were the most happy and pained to see her again? His dedication to her his whole life seems to speak of great love and longing and I’d like to see it honored (one if his animations should include the Croix Pucelle). He would, also, be quite nonplussed if he were to met Gilgamesh and be greeted with a “mongrel” as if it were an insult. Why yes, doesn’t the old king know he’s proudly reclaimed the fact as his own title?
- La Hire must appear with his cane, he must. If he doesn’t, it’s an impostor. Only character allowed and in fact encouraged to look older than 20ish. Would probably attempt to beat both versions of Gilles to death with that stick of his.
- d’Alencon’d be making the rounds in Chaldea boasting about how skilled Jeanne was with multiple weapons, then see her fight with her banner alone, going “nonsense” and producing some out of thin for her to use (strictly on monsters only). She would proceed to embarrass him by reminding everyone of that time she prevented him from being blown to bits by a cannon because she’d promised his wife to return him safe and sound
- speaking of him, his post-Jeanne’s death betrayal of France would be a sore spot between him and the others and him and Dunois in particular (you don’t go from fighting together to arresting one another without some bad blood forming after all) and a source of shame. He’d get less murderous glances than Gilles bc 1.no mass murdering; 2.he still testified to clear her name; 3. they were so close for too long to let this ruin the afterlife too
- little d’Aulon would insist on re-entering her service as her squire and, of the lot, be the most shocked to learn of JAlter’s existence.
- As soon as one of them was summoned and saw Jeanne fight, he’d ask her where on Earth were her cannons and, to the Chaldeans, why has no one thought of giving her one, fools the lot of them. Then they’ll gang on one of the pirates to lend Jeanne some of theirs and let her “do her thing”. Which she would, because her friends being with her would bring some of her fierceness back in full force and she’d once again be the girl who suggested hitting the Hanging Gardens with an orbital bombardment (I have yet to forgive the Apocrypha anime for skipping such amazing scene, Fate Jeanne isn’t nearly as ready to throw down as I’d like her to be)
