Okay, so I actually have two designs for this room, and the other one will post at the same time as this one. I want y’all to let me know which one you like better!!! I had done this design for a room for two teenaged girls, and then added in the futon for sleepover vibes—but that made me want to challenge myself to make a room for three teens instead, sooo I redid the room 😅 I can’t wait to hear what you guys think!!!
I love the neutrals of this room. It’s not overwhelmingly “girly”, but still has some traditionally feminine elements, namely the flower-shaped tables and pink accents. The Cinnamoroll sofa is SO cute, as is the stool—I’m obsessed with all the Sanrio furniture, tbh. I also really love how well the Turkey Day rug coordinates with the rest of the neutrals in the room. It’s a super cute rug, and I love the way it’s designed to look so 3D and plushy!!! I was really glad to be able to work it into this design.
This is the design I did in my left room for a bedroom for three teenage (ish) girls. Unlike the last design, it is a little more overwhelmingly girly, thanks to the mermaid furniture and pink wallpaper and accents, but I still think it’s pretty cute. There are a few furniture pieces I used in both designs—such as the Zen cushions, Cinnamoroll tables and tea set, study desks and chairs, corkboards, humidifier, etc—but there are also a lot of new pieces in this design as well. Ever since I saw this sunflower wallpaper, I KNEW I needed it for a kitchen design. There’s kind of a lot going on in here, but that seems appropriate—I feel like any good kitchen should be busy. In the future, I may make the sunflower wallpaper an accent wall, but for now, I’m keeping it in the entire kitchen (largely because I don’t know what I want to use for the other walls lol.
The addition of cooking in the recent update has been, quite literally, a game-changer for me. I’ve always loved the DIY aspect of Animal Crossing, but now that I have a much wider range of food-items to decorate my kitchen with, I’m loving it SO much more. I think I change up the food and kitchen items on the counter and table pretty much every day at this point. (In fact, after I took these photos, I swapped out the soup kettle for the vegetable basket, and I absolutely love how that looks on the counter. So much fun!!!)
So, when I saw this post, I was absolutely inspired. Almost every design I’ve done for my upstairs and basement has involved splitting them into at least two rooms, but I’ve mostly done the upstairs as three rooms (or, rather, two rooms and a hallway/reading nook). As is probably fairly obvious, the two side rooms are set up as kids rooms, with a reading/tv nook in the middle. I’m going to split this up into multiple posts, because there’s a lot going on, and I want to be able to share lots of photos because I take too many.
Originally, I had the upstairs split into a room for two young girls and a room for two teenage girls, and then I moved the “older”-styled room downstairs (and added a third occupant, as a personal challenge. You can see my two and three-person designs for that room here and here. I’ve since redesigned it yet again, so I’ll probably be posting an update soon…) What makes me really sad about that is that I never actually took photos of the setup!!! I have a few of one side, but not the other, or the tiny half-bath I had in the middle, nor did I take any photos of my basement, which had been set up as a little bedroom for two boys and a family room. However, I am so incredibly happy with how this space turned out, so I think that kind of helps make up for it (as I wasn’t crazy about the old designs… which is why I changed them 😅)
I love the bright colors going on here SO much! It gives me a happy, warm vibe, and I had a lot of fun trying to carry the colors through all of the “rooms”, while still trying to make them individual. As I’ve stated before, I like to design my ACNH house as a home for a very large family (hence all the kids lol) In my mind, the two girls in the room on the left are about 6-8, the two boys are 9-10, and the girls in the room downstairs are 13-15. However, I recently found the high chair item, which now makes me want to try designing a little nursery somewhere, so… stay tuned for that, I guess 😂
Honestly, I love this room so much I want to live here. It’s so cozy and homey, and I just love the whole vibe of it. Also, I adore how it looks with the overhead/main/default/whatever they’re called lights turned off. The hanging light bulbs were the first ceiling item I found in the game, and as soon as I saw them, I knew I wanted one or two down here. I’ve actually switched out a few items here and there since taking these photos, so I’ll do an updated design probably sometime soon.
I used two bookshelves and two simple panels to divide the room to make it into a proper master suite, with a bathroom and everything. The bathroom is super simple, but I still really like it—although I’d like to swap out the outdoor bath for a cedar bathtub (I just keep forgetting to order the other tub for delivery lol). But that ivy-covered accent wall??? I love it so much. I feel like it really takes the room from “weird windowless basement” to “still windowless but a little more cozy and intentional basement”. I think.
Hey, y’all. It’s been a hot minute since I played ACNH, much less posted anything about it, but I recently got back into the game and uhhh kind of redecorated my entire house! I’m super happy with how it’s coming along. I’m going for a very lived-in, yet practical vibe. As I’m a writer, I’ve naturally created a story and full background for my ACNH character, and decided that she’s a foster mother, therefore the house is always bursting with life (and children!). You can kind of see that coming through in this main room, but as I post my photos of the other rooms in the house (namely bedrooms lol) I hope it’ll really be obvious what I’m going for!!!
I’m pretty surprised with how happy I am with this current living room, especially the colors. Orange and red are two of my least favorite colors, but I really liked the warmth and energy they brought to this room. My last living room was simple and almost minimalist, as well as extremely cozy (you can find the post about that and the rest of my house by scrolling through my “Jackk plays ACNH” tag on my blog), and I didn’t expect to like this one as much as I do after deconstructing that one, but here we are!
I have a lot of plans for what I want my house to be eventually. I want to turn it into a place that looks like an actual family home. This is the bathroom, and it’s probably my favorite room in the house currently (although the upstairs is a contender too!). I love all of the plants, and the little goldfish friend in its bowl. My furniture catalogue isn’t the most expansive, and I’m not really the biggest fan of any of the “indoor” bathtubs I have right now, so I decided to use a hot spring as my bath instead!
Wishlist for this room: I’d love to get my hands on the cloud floor, because I’ve seen a lot of people use it in bathrooms to look like steam, but we’ll see! Otherwise, I’m pretty happy with this room!

I don’t have a set image of a family/living room that I’d like to have in the end, but I’m pretty happy with this one. I’ve redone the room since taking these photos, and definitely don’t like it as much, so I think I’m going to change it back to be closer to this room.
