It's Haven theory time oh yay~again~
Been two seasons now that we are wondering about it and yet, no answers. So I had to come up with few of my owns.
As far as we know—for Audrey—Sarah is the one who owned it (as far as we know, of course.) and Audrey got it back by Vince who kept it for Sarah, says she was a good friend of his.
But we never knew from where Sarah got it…
Now, for Nathan’s side: He got it when he was burrying his father—found it in the so amaze blue cooler that ended up being a waste of actually a very good cooler. Then again, we don’t know from where Garland got it.
NOW, because ~theory time~ again, this is what I think happened and what the rings mean.
In one of my previous theories, I said that Original!Audrey had fell in love with one of Nathan’s ancestors—(And what I forgot to mention is that I really had the Wuornos family in head. I know Max Hansen is Nathan’s biological father but when I made up my theory, the WUORNOS family was really the one I was talking about, just so everyone know.)—and she broke up/left alone/abandoned William for him. She got fianced and/or/maybe married with him. William, totally losing his mind, made the troubles go worse. Real!Audrey was part of the troubles, she’s one of the two who created them. Maybe Audrey is the one to create the barn and send her right in. But then, she realised if she goes, she loses the man she loves. Then again, the other way created was to kill the man she really loves. Maybe when she went inside, because she didnt wanted to kill the man she loved the most— aka the ancestor of the Wuornos and the only other way—, and William followed her thinking there he would finally have her for him only. But of course, he was wrong. After 27 years (still dunno why 27) her love started to run out — she had to come out for few months, fix them, and deal with going away again. But, William never came out of it. He stayed trapped inside until Audrey as Lexie comes out, with Jennifer openning the door which permited him to come out of it somewhere else.
I'm done with this part. now:
Vince: You know, you always come back with a different name, but underneath, you’re always, somehow the same.
Saying “hey, the Real you has always been there hiding for all this time but enough present and showed to be seen.” Wich leads again to the “I have always loved you I always will love you.” that totally makes sense now. The rings are the ring Wuornos!Ancestor and Original!Audrey would have used for the wedding and once Audrey was gone—with it— Wuornos!Ancestor kept it until his death and then gave it to the following boy of the family which is why, on this side, Garland ended up having it once and poof now it’s Nathan.
Vince: *gives the ring* It was Sarah’s. Audrey: How is it that you have it? Vince: She was a… A good friend.
So she gave it to Vince—maybe telling him to keep it has a reminder of her?—and once Audrey was there, totally on her nerves after Vince and Dave, Honestly I don’t know how she kept it cool until then cause I would have totally got frustrated at the second I knew they knew me before and have information about who I am. She’s though man. Respect, and that’s when Vince gave the ring back to her.
Now, both of them—at this moment, their present self—Nathan and Audrey, have the rings under their possession. The crossed stars lovers are together again and if a wedding declaring the return of their union is not the answer, then I don’t know what it could be.
