a/n: we’re gonna go with my oc’s alias this time just cuz

happy 20 years of treasure planet (and 4 years of me being in love with this movie)

so basically the majority of the original post, but they both propose

at the same time

Jim probably told Victor or Kate about it

and then Luca told Ilyssabeth or Ollie about it

they’re at a good point in their lives and have grown a strong and healthy relationship, so they both individually decide that marriage is safely in the cards

now all they have to do is ask each other if they want it too

Jim asked first of course

and Luca was just barely holding it together like on the verge of tears because so many emotions they’ve been so nervous all day and now this is happening

and so they answer his question with one of their own as they reach into their pocket and pull out a ring, much to Jim’s pleasant surprise

after giving each other their respective rings, they held each other for a good long while like nothing else mattered

and for that moment, they kind of completely forgot they weren’t teenagers anymore
