Hayde's been an issue for the screenwriters since the 20'. Her character is always either drastically changed or written out completely from the story.

im sorry that in the original text count tries to heal somewhat and move on with a woman of color, a former slave whose family was betrayed just as brutally if not even more so than Edmund's.
how about in the next adaptation we cut out Mercedes instead? i mean, she's not even the main reason count is going on the revange spree, far from it, actually.
and im not only pissed about the romance plot, which we're not getting a lot of even in the book, but for fuck's sake, it's always the same part of the story that gets cut off! we're on adaptation 18374738293 and it's still all the same.
