Good question. :p You’d think they would have had to but I guess they might have even just watched one of the silent movies or read a summary or whatever? In any case they don’t seem to have liked certain parts of the story much. Plus there was censorship to consider and all that, or the Hays Code thing at least. Tbh after reading the Hays Code I’m surprised they got away with as much as they did xD like omg they actually dare to imply that authorities can be flawed!
