One of the Archangels

Okay, I'm here again creating a theory about Hazbin (and we only have two episodes).

I've seen several videos/posts of people debating who the Spearker of God is. But I haven't seen anyone commenting on what I think, so I decided to talk about what.

First, to contextualize, I watch the series with subtitles, and the term they used to introduce this character would be something like the Herald of God. For those who don't know, Herald basically means messenger/spokesperson.

We know that this character has an important position; they are above Sera and probably only below God. And this position would belong to the Archangels.

There is only one Archangel known to be the messenger of God, and that would be Gabriel.

So this beautiful golden bird would be the Archangel Gabriel.

Thank you for your kind words! I’ll answer the Lucifer one first since it’s the shortest answer.

Lucifer Samael Shacar

Lucifer — His first name

Samael — In Jewish depictions, Lucifer’s name is Samael, leading to many people believing it was his Heavenly Name before he became a demon

Shacar — The common last name “Morningstar”, is from the phrase “Helel Ben Shacar” which translates to “Helel, son of Shacar/Morning”. This is why Carma and Satan’s last names are “Ben Shacar” and Lucifer’s is “Shacar”

Geography of Hell

Hell consists of Seven Rings/Circles, which Sinners spawn in depending on why they have been sent to Hell, however they can travel between Rings in The Damnedverse.

The Order of Rings are:

Pride -> Lust -> Envy -> Greed -> Gluttony -> Wrath -> Sloth

I have a lot of info on the Rings and their cities, states, residents and Overlords so I’ll make seperate posts for each one.

Geography of Heaven

Heaven only has Six Levels/Spheres however, they are much bigger than the Rings and are not stacked on top of each other. You enter Heaven via the Golden Gates at Level 6 and can travel between the levels by flight. However, only Seraphim and a few other Angels have the authority to fly between Levels. If someone with were to visit Heaven, there is an elevator but… why would they ever need to use that?

The Order of Levels are:

Level 1 — Where The Lord resides

Level 2 — Where the Four Faces of The Lord reside

Level 3 — Where the Seraphim and Thrones reside

Level 4 — Where Lordships and Powers reside

Level 5 — Where Archangels reside

Level 6 — Where Winners, Guardian Angels and Exorcists reside

What is the structure/system of Heaven in your rewrite? And how would it be compared to Hell's structure/system?

This is a good question and thank you for being my first (actual) ask!

If we’re solely comparing Hell and Heaven’s social systems and not their geography then I will do my best to answer!

Sins v Virtues

The Seven Deadly Sins and Seven Holy Virtues are contrasts to each other. The Sins were created after The Virtues to mock them, with Lucifer/Samael being the former Virtue of Humility.

The Sins are the Princes/Princesses of Hell, with Lucifer outranking them all as the King of Hell. Each Prince rules over their own Ring/Circle of Hell with few restrictions and are left to deal with their personal grudges on their own. Few of them are the same type of Demon/Fallen Angel but that’s for another post.

The Virtues are not Princes/Princesses and are more like a council under The Lord, with Seraphim Gabriel (yes, I know he is originally an Archangel) as the head of the council. The Virtues live in groups in the different Levels/Spheres of Heaven and belong to different Orders of Angels. Each Virtue is more like a speaker for the different communities and duties that must be carried out in Heaven.

Overall Hierarchy

Hell:

Lucifer -> Sins -> Spouses of Sins + Sinlings -> Ars Goetia -> Overlords -> Succubi/Incubi -> Imps -> Hellhounds -> Sinners -> Fallen Angels

Heaven:

The Lord -> Seraphim -> Cherubim -> Thrones -> Lordships -> Powers -> Principalities -> Archangels -> Guardian Angels -> Winners -> Exorcists

Orders

Orders are ranks that depict how much that type of Angel will interact with The Lord or if they’re more involved with Humans instead.

First Order — Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones

Second Order — Lordships/Dominions, Powers/Authorities

Third Order — Principalities/Rulers, Archangels, Guardian Angels

Fourth Order — Exorcists

Winners do not have an order.

So, I’ve explained the basics of the Exterminations and Guardian Angels.

However I am unsure on how to continue this blog.

The problem is that Heaven isn’t a main antagonist to the Hotel until Season 3/4 so it feels strange that I’ve went so in-depth on Heaven’s hierarchy before Hell’s.

But in The Damned’s Endeavour, Lucifer is a bird. More specifically, a bird trapped in a cage.

Hell is Lucifer’s cage, it is beautiful, large and is tailored to fit Lucifer’s every want and desire and it was made by his “keeper”, his Father, The Lord. As many pet owners refer to their pets as their children.

Sure, there might be other birds in Lucifer’s cage but he is the most beautiful one, his Father’s favourite and he is in charge of the other birds in the cage.

Yet, he can never leave. Some pet owners have their birds operated on so they can’t fly, or keep them in a cage so long that they forget how to. Lucifer no longer has his wings, nor his halo. All because of The Lord, his keeper.”

I recently posted the script of The Damned’s Endeavour’s opening. In said opening, we meet Carma’s father and The King of Hell.

Carma’s Unholy Father (self proclaimed)

Lucifer is one of the few Fallen Angels in Hell and the only former Seraphim. Although his wings and halo were claimed by his Father long before the time of Sinners and Hellborn, his angelic rank is still felt throughout the masses he rules over.

Lucifer also has many children, though almost all are to the same woman, his wife, Lilith. His eldest child is Satan, the Princess of Wrath and Root of all Evil. After that, he and Lilith had many Succubi and Incubi, which were sent to Earth to corrupt The Lord’s precious humans. That was until he announced Carma’s birth on the same day Christ was born.

Lucifer was a doubting husband and father, most of his children being women, he was basically the original “girl dad”. True to his Sin, he took Pride in his family — sometimes out of spite for how his Father treated him and his brother Micheal as subjects instead of family. This anger was validated when The Lord declared Christ as His true son centuries later.

However, that all changed nearly a decade ago. Lilith stopped making public appearances in Hell, stopped attending court and meetings with her husband entirely. There are rumours the two had a fight during the previous Extermination — the last time Lilith had been seen. But in truth, even Lucifer doesn’t know where she is.

He’s mourning, it’s clear to anyone who actually knows him, anyone who isn’t a subject. His patience has worn thin with his daughter’s demands and constant desire to build something new. How can he move on without her? What if she comes back and isn’t happy with the changes he’s made? Where is she?
