Hazel. Hazel Santos is made of stone. Hazel Santos is a pretty little firecracker, no soft spots, no ways to manipulate, nothing but whiskey in a tea cup. Hazel Santos breaks for children. She breaks for animals. She breaks for the moment that her brother smiles for the first time in days, and when her sister drops her sarcastic stoicism to just be a kid for once. Hazel Santos is made of soft spots. And that’s okay.

16. How does your OC feel about gender?
Hazel. Haze has a complicated relationship with their gender. There’s a certain element of “Am I not cis or do I have internalised misogyny?” that comes with hating to be called a girl so vehemently. But, they know that they’re nonbinary. They know that. Even if sometimes they feel like an impostor.
17. Does/Did your OC enjoy schooling?
Ellie. Ellie likes college well enough - the anxiety staves off the depression nine months out of the year.

Hazel is big on physical contact, especially with her siblings and close friends. No one she loves can escape (except her parents, a lot of the time, because they’re busy and a little distant and they love their kids but they’re never around so even Hazel feels awkward sometimes).

Elliot Isaac Kappel - mostly known as Ellie: Blues, really any blues. He’s partial to navy blue and ocean blue.
Micah Angela Ziskind: Deep purple. It doesn’t really get more complicated than that.
Morrigan Bellona Santos: Black, probably. She’s kind a hard ass.
Jackson Williams Santos - only known as Jax: He would never tell anyone, but Jax really likes pastels, especially the trans flag. He’s not trans, but both his sister and his sibling fall under the trans umbrella, and he’s pretty fond of the flag.
Hazel Diana Santos - Hazel or Haze: Yellow! She also likes orange and really anything that makes her think of summer.
Lucky Faeschild: A light, spring green. They aren’t much for intense colors.
Victoria Elizabeth Maina - usually Vic: Deep red. It’s the only color she wears besides black, grey and white.
Henry Vincent Ziskind: Forest green. All of his ties are forest green.

Hazel. Ferrets! She’s a social animal with a mischievous streak and a broad sense of adventure. Ferrets symbolize inquisitiveness, cheerfulness and playfulness, which I think fit her!
