COLD HANDS, WARM HEART.

Jack LOVES snow. One morning whenever the arch-nephilim was living with Jesse in Australia (this was after Jack ran away in "Tombstone"), it started snowing. Jesse was the first to wake up, per usual, but was thrilled to see white on the ground. Jack had never seen snow before in his life. So it didn't exactly help whenever Jesse decided to throw a snowball at a sleeping Jack. Not even realizing. Jack was very confused, of course, but also hurt that one of his only friends would do something like that. After containing his laughter, Jesse explained to him what snow was. And Jack simply couldn't get enough of it! He likes the cold on his skin, it's different than anything he has ever experienced. Almost like a tingling sensation that makes you alive with every breath you take. It feels nice. But the best part about snow Jack enjoys is getting to come back inside and have a cup of Jesse's world famous hot cocoa.

Remedy

This isn’t the first time he’s been in the bunker with just Sam and Dean, but last time there was room for improvement. It hadn’t at all seemed likely at first that he’d be able to show Dean he could be worthwhile, but there was at least scope for it, and in the end it had come true, at least temporarily. Now, he’s already pulled out all the stops within his ability – nearly died over and over – he has nothing more to give Dean. And for all the unfathomability of his powers now, they don’t reach the one place that matters.

She sits on the dock, staring out into the rippling water of the lake lapping against the shore, hands clasped around a mug of tea that had long grown cold.

Rowena watches the sun sink steadily back into the horizon until the sky grows dim, stars winking into existence and the temperature slowly dropping until she’s nearly shivering in her short-sleeved t-shirt. Crickets chirp and cicadas buzz, a forest symphony, and she really should go inside, but she’s not ready to face a hovering Samuel.

Just hit Optimism on my umpteenth rewatch. Now I'm imagining an AU where Harper makes her way to Lebanon just in time for Jack's death in Byzantium. Desperate to save their son figure, TFW lets Harper work her necromantic magic to bring him back... and now Jack gets to be one of the zombies he was so fascinated with.

Sure, he has to eat people to stay alive, and TFW is all sorts of fucked up about it, but hey... every relationship has its stuff, right?
