All right, seeing as Secret Soldier is coming up, here's some important info about it that all participants need to know:
As this event is starting quite a lot later than planned, it will now be going on from the 1st of February (on Sunday) and until the 22nd of February, which is almost three whole weeks.
As I will be busy continuing the members page this weekend, the event will be hosted mainly by my fellow admins lazycompany and gilove2dance . They will be in charge of making sure everyone has a Secret Soldier, and someone to be a Secret Soldier for. I will still be available for questions regarding the event, but they will be those in charge, so if you for some reason has not received a message from them before Monday, then just get in touch with one of them and they will sort it out.
Please remember that if they can't find you on their list of people that are to take part in the event, then they will not be able to add you in. As I did the list quite a while back and wasn't too clear in the head when I did, I do already apologise if there is anything wrong with it, so if you're not a part of the event but know you signed up for it, then I apologise. Please just don't harass us about it, as there will be more events in the future even if you miss out on this one.
In short, everyone a part of the event will be sent a message with who they are to be a Secret Soldier for. You will then, during the given time frame, message this person a few times a week (we recommend at least 2-3 times, but preferably more, as it's always great to get messages!) about HBO War.
The biggest and most important rule is that you are not allowed to reveal who you are! Hence the name of the event. You should therefore not use the fanmail or submit boxes to send things, but only the askbox (type /ask after someone's url if they don't have their askbox linked somewhere where you can easily find it) and then switched to anonymous! If you happen to become the Secret Soldier for someone who does not have their anonymous function/askbox turned on, please contact one of the admins asap so that we can contact them!
You can send messages about pretty much anything, as long as it's nice and is about HBO War. Appropriate for your first message might be to ask the person you're messaging if they have anything they like the most (like one of the show, a character and so on) and if there's something they want you not to talk about. Remember that just because you ship someone or read a lot of fanfics, that doesn't mean someone else does, so please be respectful and ask if there's anything you should avoid talking about.
All messages you send should, of course, be signed with Secret Soldier or something like that so the person you send something to know that they have received their messages!
Any messages you receive should be tagged with hbownss. Please remember that this tag should be among your 5 first tags as it otherwise won't show up in the tag!
About the 22nd of February:
On the 22nd of February, you should be sending your last message and here you are finally allowed to message off anon. This is the day when you will be able to reveal your identity, and find out who your Secret Soldier was! And, hopefully, in the process you have also received a new awesome friend!
