misc kazjun hcs of mine relevant to my writing (i.e. these are personal takes regarding the dynamic and history I write them with)
their first meeting during T2 was when jun confronted kazuya after one of his tournament matches. her intent was to arrest him, but he made the offer that if she defeated him, he would shut down the animal experiments and smuggling immediately.
she accepted, seeing the benefit of a potential quick resolution rather than a drawn out legal process. then, she knocked him on his ass in an unofficial fight (i.e. not a tournament bout). kaz kept his word.
jun stuck around to oversee the process, plus of course her more personal interest in trying to 'free' him of his devil, and they grew close during this time as he'd earned her trust and she having gained his respect. they spar frequently, often trading victories back and forth or resulting in a tie. at some point during the tournament jun dropped out voluntarily due to a combination of having achieved her goal, disinterest in the prize and title, and to have more time to dedicate to the decommissioning of the experimentation facilities.
kazuya consented to the suppression of his devil despite the power it granted him due to his desire for autonomy and self-mastery, not being in full control of himself bothered him deeply. he thought he could defeat heihachi without it (and was wrong; a mistake he rectifies post-resurrection at gcorp via scientific study and later in T4 fully subjugating and assimilating his devil.)
they did not break up nor did the relationship end. the two of them actually had plans for the future, once kazuya dealt with his father. of course, this closure never happens, but the important part is jun only goes back to yakushima when she sensed his death.
yeah that's right, she felt him die. :^)
they were and still are deeply in love. neither have ever said the L word to the other but it has been clearly demonstrated via other affirmations and gestures, and is mutually understood. they are also the type of couple to be old fashionedly reserved in public, but tender in private.
We're very happy to appear on this compilation alongside some familiar (limp Wrist, Drop dead etc) and not-so-familiar names, including bands from the USA, Europe, Pakistan, India, Nepal, and beyond!
Our tune on this is a unreleased one we recorded last year at the same time as our side of the Gunfinger split! 33 seconds of new-ish bullshit for your listening displeasure!
Much love to Hassan for sorting it out and check it out!
