Minerva tried not to be disappointed. It wasn’t Pomona’s fault if she didn’t return her feelings. It wasn’t Pomona’s fault that in almost a year Minerva hadn’t gotten up the courage to tell her friend how she really felt. Back when they were still in school together and Minerva thought she was straight, she had developed a massive crush. But she didn’t understand what it meant at the time. She had convinced herself that Pomona was just an objectively pretty person, that was all. But when the teaching job at Hogwarts opened up and she saw Pomona Sprout for the first time in several years, her heart skipped a beat and something just clicked into place. For a time, she thought maybe Pomona felt it too; the early days of their friendship were intense, to say the least. But nothing had come of it, so she chalked it up to an active imagination and lack of experience in these matters, choosing to embrace the friendship she had so quickly come to treasure.

It’s been months since I’ve written anything, and my pre-COVID writing plans are on hold since the timeline of the fic I wanted to write one-shots for is running right into our own timeline and I just could not decide if it should just be it’s own thing or if it should be dealing with out own struggles. So I’m stepping back for a bit.
I need prompts since the usual montage of story ideas that circles though my head is on pause. I’d really like to make a start on resolving the inexcusable lack Minerva McGonagall/Pomona Sprout fic.
