In my defense, they are twins, it's a 2 in 1.
I. when they were little, Zach went through a "Don't touch me, Eric" phase, and would freak out whenever Eric got too close to him. lots of screaming, wailing, and pushing Eric away. it started when he learned they were basically glued to each other's side when their Mom was pregnant, and Zach absolutely hated the idea of someone touching him 24/7, 9 months nonstop. he finally accepted their parents' explanations and this phase didn't last long, but it certainly wasn't Eric's favorite time either.
II. Zach's stims include listening to music, humming, and playing with butterfly knives.
III. Zach doesn’t like having two ingredients of the same texture on toast, and hates it when his food touches on the plate. he also tends to be picky with his dishware.
IV. neither Zach nor Eric has ever smoked or vaped or anything like that, but they wouldn’t mind smoking pot because, unlike cigarettes, it smells nice.
V. this one is dumb and it's the first time my OC has this kind of headcanon, but it's become very on brand for Zach to make "my tiny dick" jokes, so... they're all a lie, okay? his sense of humor is no better than some random 12-year-old's, he likes making dick jokes, drawing inappropriate things in places like the Wexley's bulletin board (the building where he lives, hence the dick-doodling anonymous resident's alias - Wanxy), but this guy is well endowed.
VI. apart from drawing some eggplants from time to time and having the same genes, Eric's sense of humor is different. it's far more 80s/90s action comedy movie than Zach's.
VII. Zach and Eric are fluent in Korean and Japanese; their parents travel to South Korea and Japan a lot, so the brothers spent a large amount of their childhood falling in love with that culture as well. Having befriended a boy their age who only communicated in sign language, Eric decided to learn this language as well.
spoken languages: Zach — English, Spanish, Korean, and Japanese (fluent) German and French (conversational) ; Eric — English, Korean, Japanese, and Italian (fluent), German, Swahili, and Bambara (conversational) + ASL.
VIII. masculine, but in a peacock way describes Zach so well it should be his whole bio, aesthetic, and style tag.
IX. Eric used to think that people deserve a second chance, that it’s okay to make mistakes, and we shouldn’t judge another person because we never know what they're going through, blah blah blah… Right now, his life experience proves it's bullshit; he’s not willing to sacrifice himself and/or his own feelings for nothing anymore, and he doesn’t think he owes anyone anything. In verses where Eric divorced Veronica it makes Zach even happier - at least he won't have to dress as his brother and do that himself, thank goodness!
X. if you wanna piss off Zach with a single word, call him Zachary. you're welcome.
//those plush dogs I've mentioned in A Peek Inside (Apocalypse Edition) meme? I just found it and I know it's not that important or anything, but that's exactly how their plushies look in my head.
their first toys were two matching plush dogs in slightly different shades of blue. they both still have them, but Eric’s looks like it has been passed down through two generations.
Games/Work Headcanon
While Zach is a huge fan of FPS games and survival horrors – both at work and as a gamer – his portfolio has a few diverse projects. His earliest games feature vibrantly colored environments, which often fool players into a sense of security that couldn't be further from false. He experimented with various aspects and different approaches to find a satisfying path for his future projects and career in general.
When he discovered a studio whose projects were exactly the direction he had wanted to develop, Zach wanted his next game to impress his dream employer. For this reason, it matched the aesthetics of the games previously created by the studio as it was meant to show that not everything he touched had to be about vibrant palettes and outlandish locations. His hard work paid off, and Zach joined the team on their next ambitious project: a first-person psychological survival horror series that would be the darkest and most challenging, and also most successful of the games he has worked on.
For convenience, Zach's games are based on real games/series, but their plots and other details may differ. Visuals, real titles, and in-character descriptions & titles below.
THINGS YOUR MUSE WILL NOTICE ABOUT MINE
TAGGED BY: I wanted to repost, but decided I'd tweak it a bit
TAGGING: you
Zach.
⸻ WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE : style tag here.
He's 6 feet tall.
He's probably listening to music to block out the noises.
Electric blue hair pulled into a half-up bun or ponytail. Shoulder-length, wavy. For younger Zach, it can be shorter and more silver-blue, or even his natural color (brown) and curly.
A diamond stud earring in his right ear or a silver hoop. He usually has a few colorful bracelets on one arm and leather/metal ones on the other.
A neon lime Fila x Ackermann jacket, vibrant/very neutral hoodies. Some merch t-shirts and light blue jeans or sweatpants.
Sneakers! Adidas Attitude HI or Reebok BB 4600.
⸻ WHAT THEY SMELL LIKE :
Bayleaf, rosemary, and black currant. Shower gel. Hair dye when his hair is freshly done.
⸻ WHAT THEY TASTE LIKE :
Skin - salty & cologne tart. Kisses - coffee or something spicy, because he loves spicy snacks.
⸻ WHAT THEY SOUND LIKE:
He half-whispers everything with his trademark deadpan expression.
Doesn’t raise his voice unless his emotions grow too strong and/or he’s on the verge of losing his patience & it takes a lot to make Zach lose his temper.
Usually, his laughter is barely a chuckle. Just like his smiles are not much more than a subtle quirk of the corners of his mouth, or they simply don’t last long (which is also why it can be difficult to tell if he’s joking or not; 8/10 he’s not)
He has a good singing voice, but you won’t hear Zach show it off on some karaoke night. You might hear him hum, though, especially when he’s working. The 80s are back, baby.
⸻ WHAT THEY FEEL LIKE :
He doesn't like unprompted touch (or being touched in general by most), so he'll flinch or tense up.
Fit and athletic (parkour, freerunning) - easy to tell without even touching him.
His touch feels mostly soothing and gentle, but it can be powerful or surprisingly confident if he's comfortable around someone.

A Short Ask List About Love.
@thexcarrollxtimes
Is your OC at all romantic themselves? Or is romance something they expect others to perform for their benefit?
He's accidentally romantic lol. Sure, he asks Eric for advice, but usually, he relies on little things he knows about Emily, and it happens to count as being romantic. Bathing together, letting Em paint on his back, cooking for her (especially off-grid cooking, in the wilderness)... But in their case, playing games together can be incredibly romantic. In short: Zach is very romantic as long as we're not talking some list from Cosmopolitan, but a very personalized, carefully tailored list of things that make his partner happy.
Has your OC ever had their heart broken? Have they ever truly recovered?
He had been used in the past, manipulated, and taken advantage of, since he tries very hard to make up for being so introverted, and was unlucky enough to have a toxic first boyfriend. Luckily, Emily appeared and it's all in the past.
If your OC were in love, how might they recognise this? Or would they be too much in denial?
No denial at all; as soon as Zach recognizes he's in love he shares this revelation, same with the first "I love you" that comes to his mind, etc. He's blunt and won't hide anything. To be honest, I don't think he would be able to hide or deny it.
