#Inktober Day 1: I'm late for the first day due to a busy weekend, but hope to catch up. This year I'm trying to do colored fairy tale inspired images (not sure if I'll make them all, but I'll give it a go). In Denmark where I live we have a strong tradition for fairy tales with #hcandersen being one of our most famous writers. jeff, your forum won't let me make a topic so now i'm asking you instead - i'm using data from the giantbomb api for a little website i'm making as a hobby project and i was wondering what the policy is on hotlinking images (game covers and such) - is it kosher to embed them directly or would you guys rather i fetched the images to my own storage and served them to the end user from there

I believe the main thing we ask is that non-commercial apps and sites and services built using the API link back to us prominently. I’m not sure what the API limits are around image requests and the like, but if we ain’t blocking image embeds (we’re not) I’d say you’re probably OK.
