Crow Boy and Swan Boy got proper redesigns now, still no names tho.
Honk Honk bitches, guess who finished their refs last minute.

Thank you 100 times over and forever for Easthies in the piss boy hat
You are more than welcome. I'm glad my peesthies content found its target audience.
Ok that's it now! That's all the dumb Easthies joke doodles I had stuck in my freak mind! I'M FREE! I'm free until December!!
Thank you for your patience.
Volume 14 Thoughts: he eepy.
(They actually lost my copy of volume 14 in the mail, probably to stop me from making these.)
14 volumes into Witch Hat Atelier and I'm OBSESSED with this man. What is wrong with him. (Nobody tell me)
The (European) sun is a deadly laser, stay safe everyone
☝️🤓 it’s because the further you move toward the earth’s poles, the lower the angle of the sun is at the hottest parts of the day, meaning the radiation hits your whole body, causing it to feel 10-20 degrees warmer than the thermometer reading will tell you. People from tropical climes, aka close to the equator, are used to the sun’s radiation hitting a much smaller target- their head and shoulders.
Also the further you move toward the poles the more pronounced the difference between the length of day and night is. Worst part of a far-north (or south) heatwave is it doesn’t get dark long enough for meaningful cooling.
It’s not the heat. It very literally is the sun.
Getting the points you deserve on Artfight
I made this little guide for the server I run, but I thought I could post it here too. There's a few artfight attack rating rules that people don't exactly know, so- Let's get to them!
1.- Props are literally any held object, regardless of background
A lot of people only use the Props / Scene Elements / Design layout if there is a significant amount of background, but in truth, any held object counts as props! The best example of this is the last image (which is used as an example on site), where the only prop being held is a notebook and a pencil. So, if you've drawn a character holding a weapon on a plain grey background, don't rate that as "No background", that's props baybee!
2.- Minimal shading IS very minimal shading
I've seen a lot of people rate fully shaded pictures as minimal shading because there's no fancy multiple light sources. In truth, a simple shadow under the chin or a gradient laid on top of the character is already minimal shading! They REALLY mean it as minimal
3.- Fully Shaded does not need to be complex
One of the examples in the webpage shows this pretty well! You don't need to do a painterly rendered style for it to count as fully shaded! Again, "minimal shading" is reserved for VERY minimal shading
4.- Animals count as extra instances of the character
If you drew the character holding an animal, the animal itself can be added as an extra instance of the character. Specially for humanoid artists, this can feel weird, but ferals and such count for full points- So if you drew an animal in your attack, even if the main subject is an humanoid, don't miss on your points! That's two whole guys!
5.- Characters not on site ALSO count for points
If you've drawn a character that isn't on site within an attack to a character that IS on site, the extra character can be counted for points by adding the main subject twice. This also goes for canon characters as long as they are modified to some degree, as seen in the second screenshot!
not my tweet but I thought it would be a good psa for artists here too
Oh this is a common scam I find at work. Any file that:
isn't jpg, jpeg, pdf, or png
Is a file extension you don't recognise (this one is a visual basic file, used for scripting, but others like exe or bat are used)
has a very low or unexpected file size (this one's is less than 1KB, or 0.001MB, a good reference should be at least 500KB)
Is likely a scam. Stay safe kids.
i think people are starting to confuse class analysis with bioessentialism. like... no not all men do this, but Men as a constructed social class do do this. that's still okay to say. that is regular material analysis of the world around us.
This is transfeminism!
My favorite thing to do when watching anime with my mother is to point at the nastiest man and say "That one's my favorite"
(She likes Olruggio, but her favorite character at the moment is Tartah)
Reading With Hat Atelier reminded me that around 2018 I had a bunch of witch characters based on birds and yeah - the crow and the swan were dating because every artist longs for monochrome gay men.
Might revisit them again.
alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
under 18, AI is a net positive
under 18, AI is a net negative
18-29, AI is a net positive
18-29, AI is a net negative
30-45, AI is a net positive
30-45, AI is a net negative
46-60, AI is a net positive
46-60, AI is a net negative
over 60, AI is a net postive
over 60, AI is a net negative
Question 2/3
How often do you visit or interact with museums/archives (whether in person or online)?
Frequently (multiple times per month)
Often (multiple times per year)
Occasionally (a couple times per year)
Rarely (once every couple of years)
Never :(
Question 3/3
If you saw a museum was using AI in exhibits, marketing, research, etc., would you be more or less inclined to visit that museum?
under 18, more inclined
under 18, less inclined
18-29, more inclined
18-29, less inclined
30-45, more inclined
30-45, less inclined
46-60, more inclined
46-60, less inclined
over 60, more inclined
over 60, less inclined
Thank you for helping with this data collection. Please rb for as big a sample as possible!
