For any corvidcore, goblincore, dirtcore, or cottagecore peeps out there, I wanted to share this book of mine I rediscovered on my shelf that fits the aesthetics called The Hchom Book by Marian Churchland!
It’s filled with drawings of plenty of comfort / D&D / Hobbit-like foods and other themed items, including ‘Want Lists’ of whatever her inner goblin’s craving at the time, which I find enjoyable to read about! There’s also maps of ideal homes and LOTS of shiny rock drawings which are fun to see too! As someone who loves pastries & bread and collecting random trinkets, its a huge mood.
You might’ve seen the author’s art floating around before, and most if not all of it comes from her blog here, which I highly recommend checking out some of her posts for inspo! Most of the pages in the book can be found on the blog too, if you can’t get it / get the time for the book. Just wanted to share for those who might be interested, since organic reach is nearly impossible nowadays for some websites/blogs. Enjoy! <3
Phew, it’s been a while. Thanks to a friend, I’ve been getting back to drawing (almost) every day. The recent discovery of goblin culture/goblincore and how much of it I love, and my recent acquisition of the HCHOM book by Marian Churchland (which is AMAZING and one of my favorite things!) convinced me to try drawing myself as a goblin. So here’s the first pass at a little goblin-me. There will be more. :D
Guys, alot of you might not remember but Marian Churchland who did the Dragon Age Character templates has been doing all the art for an upcoming game called Forgotten Depths. There's only 5 days left on the Kickstarter and they're nowhere near being funded. If you're keen to help back a table top card game with great art go and check it out
first time playing pathfinder, trying out how their druids compare to 5e!
so far this lil dude has gotten themself almost killed like 5 times but they’re always around for a good time
Last week I picked up a copy of Marian Churchland’s fantastic Hchom Book. While flipping through I remembered a food pyramid drawing I started back in 2015 after I saw this post. Here’s the drawing, finished and glorious.
It’s interesting to realize how my eating habits have changed since then. I still love all of this food, but if I drew it today there’d be a big section for rice, sushi, dumplings and noodles.
Sam accurately commented that it’s pretty much all carbs. That much at least hasn’t changed.

Marian has been posting some pretty great posts on her HCHOM site HERE
