A hospital drawing of Sam and (just peeking through) new baby Maia.
Going through old files and found this way back from 2013.
I made a dnd pattern with the help of a great tutorial from Kinoko Evans: https://www.instagram.com/p/BtnXZBAgJsW/
Makes me want to do more!
It’s been several years since I participated in Hourly Comic Day, a pretty regular day but I had a great time drawing it!

Last week I picked up a copy of Marian Churchland’s fantastic Hchom Book. While flipping through I remembered a food pyramid drawing I started back in 2015 after I saw this post. Here’s the drawing, finished and glorious.
It’s interesting to realize how my eating habits have changed since then. I still love all of this food, but if I drew it today there’d be a big section for rice, sushi, dumplings and noodles.
Sam accurately commented that it’s pretty much all carbs. That much at least hasn’t changed.
Working on the Montreal Bike Tour comic again! It’s been over a year since I started this and it’s nice to get back to drawing it!
A yet unnamed Dwarf bard!
A few warmup figure drawings from today. It’s been awhile. :-]

A portrait of my bike with someone who looks kinda like me riding it.
You’re all invited to come hang out and talk about bike touring! Sam and I will be showing slides from our recent tour in Japan. There will be snacks!

Some sketching. I recently read A Wizard of Earthsea and Ged has been bouncing around in my head ever since.
A t-shirt I designed for @krokaexpeditions earlier this year. (And me modeling awkwardly 😅) Their summer programs, and particularly their semester programs are incredible opportunities for youth to get out on serious expeditions. #krokaexpeditions #kroka #marlownh #expeditions #shirtdesign #wilderness #stayout #outdooreducation #skier #linedrawing #nomad #illustration #gearnerd https://www.instagram.com/p/BnHzVq9hZqf/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1qeaseaw8ilwl
Made that hedgehog drawing into a sticker! You can pick one up (and some patches) in my shop over here! https://www.etsy.com/shop/Gilgalad8002?ref=search_shop_redirect
A tiny hedgehog I drew for @beardsandgears a week or two ago. This hedgehog is a book-nerd AND a bike-nerd. #tinyart #hedgehog #bikenerd #booknerd #tinyhedgehog #doodles #letters #micron #penandink #themaskedhedgehog https://www.instagram.com/p/Bm4eaA9h6eR/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1tl3tk7u533uw
