"I will, because it's you who asked." Kathleen moved, scooching over as requested. The hogging had been due to the exhaustion from work, the long hours that day having caused her to be sleepy. If not for the other, chances were the blonde would have fallen asleep right then and there.

She turned toward the other. "This place is such an odd town." Yet her voice carried neither something dark, not judging. Ivy Cove was simply different.

.｡.:*☆ "And I am sorry about that." Nott was still struggling to adapt to everything. While being a goblin - and after everything that had happened before - she had been so self-destructive, wanting to drown her pain and feel numb, that it was hard now to return to a somewhat normal life.

"I told you I am not always the best company. Maybe I should get one of those.... what are they again? Phones?" She was not entirely sure yet how this whole thing really worked. Not even her shop had a landline. It was very old-fashioned. Her assistant was actually handling everything connected to technology in some way. "Then we could talk without having to meet in person. I think."

.｡.:*☆ Finnick was trying to not dwell over things too much. At least, over those he could not change, anyway. This was not Panem anymore. It was not District 13, or the Capitol, and while he wished Ivy Cove was his real home, Finnick was very aware it was not. And he tried to live with it somehow.

There were not many Finnick would really miss. Sure, Katniss had proven to be a friend. And, even Johanna, as broken as she had been. They all were, after all. But whom he really missed was Annie. The woman Finnick had married before…. he was not sure what had happened after. It was like a foggy cloud in his head.

He sighed, throwing some tiny stones into the fountain in front of him, as if the water would give Finnick the answers he was so desperately searching for. But then he looked up, his eyes traveling along, and…

“Annie? Is that… Is that you?”

"Oh god, no. Not you. I'm so sorry." Angela stared at the other, hand shaking as she felt her own words misdirected so horribly in ways she herself could not even fault the other for.

It had been a spur of the moment comment in the middle of the other's comments. "I was talking to that one." Her finger pointed toward a rather odd individual, hovering near them. "Why don't we go over into that corner without this creature." It was rare to find Angela using such terminology to describe another human being. "I'll make up for the interruption." A bad listener, that was certainly a first time that could be added to her list as she usually prided herself on being a good listener.

"It was a rather odd display, wasn't it?" The elf wasn't exactly unfamiliar with the idea of bar brawls, but this certainly had been one of the odder ones. "Perhaps it was the fact one was so much taller than the other. Definitely something about that."

She turned toward the blonde. "Perhaps you should have. Who knows, it might have paid for drinks."

The frown on her face was as much confusion as it was frustration. Sometimes doing things in person just seemed more efficient. Easier. It was time like those when the brunette forgot that - despite everything - she still had moments of acting different from others.

"Why? You opened the door, didn't you?" Malia shrugged. "Fine, I'll text next time I plan on dropping by. I simply forgot." She did, and looking back it felt slightly silly. She knew how territorial things could get; both as a creature of the night as well as the person she'd grown to be.

Determined and attentive ears listened yet Athena felt as though she heard a plethora of others underneath those few, simple words. "And how much truth is within those words?"

She paused, patting the stone bench near her as she stood, hovering almost like an owl above. "Is it the answer you'd give someone with the expectation of being told you are well, or is it the answer you believe in?"

"I mean, it really sounded like you had a lot to tell, didn't it?"
