though based in yokohama, marcellus often travels to other cities and prefectures to handle business --- as the leader of a gang must occasionally do. today, he heads to musutafu --- despite the unease being that close to his alma mater causes. but the unease fades almost as quickly as it ensues, through a long period of practice and forcing himself to identify with his role. that said, he left his two partners behind in yokohama to hold down the fort as always. it wouldn’t do to have problems arise while he is not there to handle them. the person he intends to meet with is the leader of another gang, one who has been clashing with his own lately. it’s important to get the matter resolved, because members of his group have been dying in unprecedented numbers, and he is not okay with that.
after he finally arrives in musutafu, he can’t help the feeling of nostalgia that seems to roll over him. he doesn’t let it overtake him or make him drop his guard, but it seems to bring him a sense of peace. it doesn’t last long, though --- from here, he must walk.
as he proceeds towards his meeting place with the contact that will take him to his destination, he loosens up the ponytail that sits at the base of his head, trying as much as possible to cover up the tattoo there without pulling his hair down altogether. hands in his pockets, he gazes around, every so often spotting someone in that uniform he could never forget, the uniform of yueii high school.
he stiffens, however, when he sees himself approaching ( and being approached by ) someone who must certainly be a hero, dressed like that. while he knows that it’s unlikely he’ll be recognized, his face has been on the news in relation to criminal activities ( an unfortunate side effect of his undercover work ), so it’s not impossible. it doesn’t seem like he has been recognized, but he tries to keep his composure as he passes. if they get into a spat, he can’t just tell the hero he’s undercover --- so he must not let himself be stopped.
