for @hcsoohan ! date & location december 2017 @ the geumjeong district caves.

when he first heard that his friend was interested in fossil pokémon, he wasn’t entirely sure what he was thinking when he suggested they could possibly go look for on in the depths of one of geumjeong’s mountains. he has never found much success himself ( given that he only tried for around twenty minutes before giving up ) so he doesn’t imagine they will really find anything worth while while they’re down here.

despite that, his friend actually agreed to the idea, as absurd as he found it.

he was covered in layers, navigating through the caves with his kirlia using flash to illuminate their path. he sprayed some super repel on them before entering ( and did so a couple more times along the way ) just in case, as they weren’t really here for battles. truthfully, he didn’t know where he was headed and they were bound to get lost eventually. he looks over at soohan, curiosity in his eyes as they continued walking.

“do you know which fossil you’re looking for? or are you just looking for any kind?”

that day it rains.

haejin sits on the rug where the blue from outside merges with the warm glow of the apartment, cool white slipping into gold. short legs stretch out in front of him, slices of his tanned thigh peeking through the rips in his jeans. he'd meant to wear his nicest ones, dark with no sign of wear, only clean lines running along the sides, but an unfortunate and rushed encounter with yogurt had left them splattered and impressionable in all the wrong ways.

"it's really hard to have pancham around because he doesn't want to be in a pokeball, and i don't want to force him, so i always have to find someone to watch him..."

and his voice trails off, like steps losing their direction, because his stomach growls and he remembers how much he's eaten, how much he’s yet to eat -- how much he wants to eat.

"sorry about all the food," he says, lays back to rest his head against the floor, listening to pancham and gwen in the corner, "we're growing boys."

boyeon was a fan of the friend ball and she didn’t try to hide it. pokémons were friends to her and that’s where she grabbed the meaning of her passion for that item in particular. even if only two of ten pokémons were kept in friend balls, she liked to count the tattoo she made of it as extra love points. a shirt with a huge stamp of it right on the center was always seen as a dream, but the festival was pure reality.

her eyes caught it from afar and her feet started picking up speed. thankfully she went for a more casual look that day, so the comfortable shoes allowed her to move around the crowd without a bother. “excuse me! move!” at that moment, buying that shirt was her biggest goal in her life. what would she even be knowing there was a friend ball shirt out there and that it wasn’t hers? “what?” it came out as a loud screech, boyeon furrowing her brows as soon as she reached the booth. a man held the shirt tightly and the only thing reflecting in her eyes was the fire of the sun. “drop that shirt right now.”
