Hudson Williams presents Sophie Nélisse with the Radius Award at the Canadian Screen Awards on May 31st, 2026.

We get a small glimpse of some of her work from when she was a child and won her first award to The Book Thief to Yellowjackets and finally Rose Landry. Hudson admits that he was intimidated by Sophie at first because although they are the same age Sophie has already had quite the career. Hudson didn't want to be seen as the guy who makes off the colour jokes to the point that Jacob tells him to leave. The first day on the Heated Rivalry set Hudson knew that he met a kindred spirit. Sophie was there making crude jokes and causing Jacob to laugh. Hudson's character was going through a lot and Sophie was there for him from the moment they started a scene. Shane had found a true friend just like Hudson had.
