there was this post about how everyone blogs for attention

i lost it but it made me think

i feel like "doing it for attention" is such a thought-terminating cliché and i wanna go more into it and ask questions like "what kind of attention?" and "in what way?"

inmy blogging of course attention is a factor i wouldnt do this in a void but i feel like when i write stuff i do it to share something or express myself or seek connection.

i think "i blog for connection" is much more accurate and to the point than "i blog for attention" because connection is the specific kind of attention that i want.

i just hate the phrase "doing <sth> for attention" because of the way it gets used to abuse people honestly. and i can tell my logic brain™ is shutting down when i read it and its probably similar for many people. its kinded of a loaded phrase
