The man would see Roadhog’s shadow first as the giant loomed behind him, blocking out the harsh florescent light of the grocery store.
Next he would hear his voice, the sound quiet but no less deep and guttural as he tried to announce his presence, give the man a little warning before he turned around. “Hey.” Would be what he muttered, waiting a moment to see if the other heard him before continuing. “Mind moving so I get those?” Pointing past the skittish man Roadhog would motion to the row of Alfredo sauce packets behind the BLU.

Clovis rarely ever goes out by himself anymore. Though John was firm in him learning to go out into the world again because he cannot stay stuck in the corner of the office forever. So he hides in an oversized coat with the hood up to give SOME sense of security. The anxiety is high and his heart is speedy as a cat amped up on catnip- oh man he needed to get some kitty treats too. Squints at the tiny list again. Might need to get his eyes checked too.
Pauses as a massive shadow hovers and a voice deep enough to rattle his ears. Oh God- oh lord- he is doomed so doomed!! Wheezes quietly, somehow going paler than he already is when he timidly looks over his shoulder then frantically scrambled out of the way to hide behind the cart he had grabbed before.
