I'd like to take a notice that the postal dude at one point was a action figure collector (he addmits to it it Postal mobile after his house was burnt down + Vince makes fun of him in Postal 2 bc of it right after he fires him)
Too lazy to do so right now but if I posted about Sophie The British Bookseller™️ and That Soldier Private Preachery™️ and possibly other OCs from The Jack Fic someday this week would that be awesome and cool? Because I was waiting to have them become main characters in the fic before I posted abt them but I have discovered I write that thing at a snail's pace.
But as I noted in a previous post of mine, Jack Marston x OC content is really taking off at the moment, and I love it as a concept so much. so I was thinking of sharing my little guys from that fic, even though it is taking me a million zillion years to introduce the fuckers. I care about them!
I saw Henry Cavill trending and I was like Oh fuck, what did you do? I was ready to read about him killing someone but it turned out that big nerd was only assembling his gaming computer...
"But do you bake pies on pie day."
“Not that sort of pie, Roadhog.”
“But yes!”
Vetinari has come to know the public expressions from the private. Oh yes, there’s much crossover for in general Downey is an outgoing, ready for a laugh sort of man. Most often looking to be pleased and so finds much to be pleased about.
Exhibit A are a few things that have pleased one William A. Downey in the last week in no particular order:
-- a small, grey dog wearing a knitted jumper (This is one of their End of Day conversations: Downey recounting the dogs he has seen); -- an article about a man in Brindisi who was murdered in a farcical manner; -- news that a famous literary figure lied about his credentials and is, in fact, a phenomenal scam artist; -- a new cheese being sold at the shop around the corner from the Guild; -- the discovery of a new brand of rosehip infused gin; -- the various cocktails he made with the recently discovered rosehip infused gin; -- a small, decorative glass gecko that is now on a bookshelf in his office
Downey’s so excited about murder and scam artists and gin and dogs. I always imagine him reading an article and then announcing “oh this pleases me” before gleefully diving in for more gory details.

So like a promise ring? :0c
LOL that’s more of a teenager/university thing… we’re a little past that. A promise ring is like “I promise to promise to make a commitment to you one day probably” and we’re pretty far past that.
An engagement ring is like “I promise to marry you and make a life with you one day very soon” and… that’s not possible for us, whether “very soon” or not.
So… well I had to ask him how he wanted me to phrase it so, this is a direct quote: “It is a whispered, but emphatic declaration to everyone else of my love and a continual reminder for you.”
