Studying literature should theoretically give me good insight into how to construct a story and effectively communicate it through prose and subtext but in reality I stare at my screen for 13.2 hours trying to string two ideas together into one paragraph so then I go look up advice from writers with 3 PHD's in English Literature, 6 published books and 3 Pultzur Prizes and they go "just do cocaine lol" like oh. Okay Mr Writer I will go do that.
