On Loam (the Pokémon world), the only required years of traditional school are completed between the ages of 5 and 10. These are the years when children learn the most basic skills of reading and writing. Many people believe that the most important skills come from experience. This is why there are no major educational concerns on children leaving home and missing years of school to go on Pokémon Journeys. Even so, a student can continue in traditional school for as long as they like.

While there are no major educational concerns around Pokémon Journeys, there may be other concerns. After all, many modern parents aren't comfortable letting their 10-year-olds travel by themselves.

M’s favorite is a very old drink with a modern twist

Everything old is new again: cocktails, fascism, the existential threat from nuclear annihilation...

It makes one want to return to to the classics.  And the classic Sazerac was not made with rye.  It was made with very good cognac.  

Q decides to try something new when M bemoans the lack of good basic cocktails at the last bar they’d tried.  It’s not that he doesn’t appreciate these new-fangled gins and such.  He just prefers every drink not to be an experiment.   He likes to know what he’s getting.  He wants familiarity, considering that his world is frequently turned upside down by bloody agents.

So Q makes him a classic.  A barrel-aged Sazerac made with the original (1920′s was it?) Cognac.   But he adds a twist.  Extra bitters, because it could use a bit more punch.  And M had expressed interest in some bitters he’d tried when on mission... in a drink called “secret agent” which a CIA contact had ordered him as a joke.  But the flavor is nice, and well, M does have a lot of secret agents around that would make him pull his hair out if he had any left.  Bitter seems appropriate.

So Q adds it, and it makes all the difference. The secret ingredient, if you will.

Headcanon #19

Johan is really into loud music. He needs his rock and his pop and his jazz to boom through the entire house, always, so whatever task he is forced to do at that moment is gonna be at least ten times more fun and more exciting. Judai, on the contrary, only likes that kind of music when he’s in the mood for it. If he’s not though, he sometimes has the strong urge to murder his boyfriend or simply give him a taste of his medicine by blasting loud instrumental music that Johan really doesn’t like because there are no lyrics and it’s really incredibly boring.

So whenever Judai lays down to relax and think, soft violins playing in the background, Johan sneaks in, lays down next to his boyfriend and starts making up the weirdest of lyrics that only halfway even fit the beat of the song. The only thing that will shut him up is when Judai finally gives in and kisses him.

Headcanon #19

Not all Pokémon lay eggs. The reason they are shown to do so in games and some TV series is because they are made child-friendly, and partly for programming convenience. Breeding Pokémon in real life works very differently.
