Because of how stubborn Eric and Lyssa both are, deciding where they’re going out to eat when they meet up turns into a rock paper scissors game. Especially when they’re trying to be considerate of one another. But the rock paper scissors game can only solve the problem when they’re devolved into a ‘you pick’ ‘ no you pick’ argument.

Headcanon: Family of Dorks

The Goldheims are actual dorks (with the slight except of AnnaMae)

Even though Frankie’s dorkiness is hidden behind layers of make up and insecurity,

And Aaron’s is hidden behind professionalism and a charming smile,

And Lyssa’s by her blunt, aloof and very protected façade....

it’s there. It’s 100% there and only a lucky few get to bask in the glory of those real smiles, those smiles that light up their whole face and just...

It takes a lot of work to get through to the real core of these people. 

But it’s worth it, at the end of the day they’ll love fiercely and loyally. 

And by God you’ll love them.

I Bet My Life by Imagine Dragons is actually a song I could see Lyssa dedicating to Aaron. because he's always been beside her through everything and she's always put him through shit just because she couldn't cope with their home situation like he did.

So it's like her way of showing she's sorry and that she knows he'll achieve a lot in his lifetime because he's the better twin. He's got more sense and less impulse.

Dear future me,

I'm not entirely sure what to say to you. All I know is that I hope you've made something of your life by now. It's taken long enough and you've screwed around enough. All people do is worry about you. And for what? It's not like you're the ideal friend, sister or even lover. Hell, what do you even know about love in the first place? How long can you keep on doing what you're doing anyway? I don't know, I guess I just want to know what's happened with my life. If I've lived to be very old, or if I've gotten myself killed. Wouldn't surprise. Don't think it would surprise anyone, really. I just hope you haven't end up throwing your whole life away for nothing. Especially not the people dearest to you. They've put up with their shit longer than they've ever had to. And I hope they know how much I appreciate that.

Headcanon: The Humble Beginning of the Goldheim Twins.

Their life has been far from perfect. Yes, they grew up in a respectable family. Yes they went to a private school. But most of their raising was actually done by their aunt and uncle. Their parent's relationship fell apart when the twins were 7, but until they were 12 their parents attempted to maintain their relationship for the sake of the children. But all the fighting did no good for any of them, and resulted in the twins growing up with a distrust in love. Aaron, the older of the two saw it as his job to protect Lyssa. At 14, the twins were finally removed from their home by their aunt and uncle after a particularly bad fight that had led to their mother storming out of the house. Aaron was more prepared to accept their new life and was quite quick to forget about his parents and focus on the good things. Seeing the love between his aunt and uncle restored his hope in love and he tried to teach Lyssa to do the same. But by this time, Lyssa had begun to push away from everyone and everything. She turned into the black sheep of the family, making friends with the wrong people and letting her impulses control her. She took after their mother, after all, and her stubbornness and pride kept her up right for the majority of the time. But Lyssa's heart got broken. Several times, even after she had vouched not to get invested in any relationship she had. And as a result, Lyssa closed herself off completely. Now the only people who knew and could remember the carefree, caring and funny Lyssa that hid behind her impulsive and bitchy façade. And that was her brother and her aunt and uncle. So that's how they grew up, together but apart. Aaron turned all his attention and effort into presenting himself in the way he should. Keeping the reputation of his family standing while his sister rummage around in the dark in an attempt to escape the bitterness that she had become. The two love each other dearly and do look out for each other. But the truth is, they're two very different people. Lyssa has trouble letting go of pain, letting go of broken pieces and Aaron is only ever happy to do so. And that's why Aaron's turned into the charming, handsome devil that he is; And why Lyssa is the guarded person she is now. But Aaron always secretly hopes that one day Lyssa will find someone who will show her compassion, love and affection and will teach her how to treat herself like she should and can finally get her back on the right path. Because she deserves it.

Their dynamics is complicated. And they often leave each other stranded because of their different lifestyles. But they love each other dearly and would do anything for each other.
