After a particularly heavy fight, where Aaron’s jealousy gets the better of him again, he finds himself alone. He reaches for his phone and begins out typing a message to Filippa. But before he presses the send button, he changes his mind. Sighing, he deletes the message and falls backwards on his bed.

Filippa’s off on tour again, sometimes it feels like she’s hardly ever around. Though he doesn’t really mind, on one particular evening it’s a little harder to accept. Suddenly he’s hit right in the chest by the realization that he might lose her. He’s tired and he wants to text her, but the only things he come up with sound pathetic and sad.

He’s done it again. Another business deal has been made and he feels a surge of pride at the realization that he’s a much better and more moral business man than his father ever was. He wants to text Filippa, and tell her. But then he feels like it might not be entirely fair on her. She’s working really hard too and probably doesn’t have time to congratulate him. And that’s okay. He’ll just keep it to himself. It’s not that big of a deal anyway…
It’s a typical Friday night, Aaron comes home from drinks after work. But the place is empty. He knows it’s going to be, before he even opens the door. But when he climbs into his bed, he’s tempted to reach for his phone and text her. Just a ‘hi, how’s it going. i miss you’. Or something like that. But maybe it’s better not to. He’s tired and worries it’ll seem like he’s hounding her. They’d been texting earlier today, after all.
It’s Lyssa again, the news has left his head spinning again. She’s in the hospital again, probably in the worst condition she’s ever been. Rushed in with a bullet wound to the chest, her stomach completely bruised. Missed her heart, just by 2 inches. While in the waiting room, he stares at the phone. He needs to talk to someone about it. He can’t go through this alone. Filippa’s name comes to mind, but he quickly decides against it. She shouldn’t get distracted by his family issues. Not when she works so hard. It’s not fair. It’s not her fault Lyssa’s reckless. It’s not her fault, his family’s messed up.
She’s performing tonight, pride swells in Aaron’s chest at the thought of it. Unfortunately he can’t be there. A business trip has him all the way in Alaska for the week. But he wants to wish her luck and remind her how proud he is and how much he loves her.
[text: fip] Good luck, babe! Wish I could be there to see you shine. Next time, I’ll be in the crowd. I promise xxx You’re my beautiful star, I love you
