18.) Favorite possession headcanon

Hanzo: This one’s kinda hard. It feels like a cop-out to say his bow, but I also don’t see him as someone really attaching a lot of sentiment to the things he owns. He travels so much and has to travel light and half his things get ruined. So for a long time, it’s Storm Bow--his primary weapon, his marketable skill, his one thing he knows he can always fall back on.

Later on, though? Who knows. I think he would highly value any gift McCree gave him. In a related headcanon, I think his bracelet in his Casual skin came from Genji, and while that for a long time might not be a favorite possession, merely one he cannot let go of, I think that might get up there as his relationship with his brother gets better. 

McCree: Well, A.) Peacekeeper, but also B.) His hat. Everyone already puts a great amount of sentimentality on it for him, but I think he picked it up sometime during Overwatch’s first run. It may or may not have even been a gift, but it’s something he became kind of known for--black hat for Blackwatch sure, but also a regular hat for his downtime. Anyone on base could pick out “that cowboy kid” by looking for the six-foot tall man with a cowboy hat on. It’s sentiment for his image, and days gone by, and also he just looks good in it.

Zenyatta 9?

9.) General physical contact headcanon

So I’m not entirely sure how omnics actually process physical contact and sensations. I assume there’s some level to it, given that Zen and Bastion both react to getting hurt and there are, apparently, entire industries dedicated to serving high-end motor oil to omnics. But it’s probably a bit different.

So my thought is thus: Zen probably processes physical contact in some manner, but not the same way humans do. It’s probably pleasant, in some way, but I feel like he might enjoy it more for the social/affectionate aspects of it, if that makes sense, and perhaps not get the exact same reaction out of the physical aspect of it. So he’ll take a hug or a shoulder pat or something when it’s offered, and he touches others casually, but it’s not something he seeks out a lot.

But I still see him offering casual, comforting touches--hands on shoulders or arms, bumping shoulders or knees--to those who look like they need it. Especially Genji.

19. Ana - Please

19.) Favorite photograph headcanon

A photo from the old days. Fareeha’s in the center, because the photo was supposed to just be her, but then Gabe and Jack took notice of what they were doing and involved themselves, and if her uncles were gonna be in the photo then so should Jesse and Angie, and then it was a group photo that nobody had planned for and now Ana doesn’t have that cute picture of Fareeha in her new dress.

The end result is something bittersweet--a reminder of the things that keep her going (her daughter, her friends) and the things that went wrong (Gabe, and these children she watched grow into soldiers because she didn’t finish the battle the right way the first time).

7.) Kissing headcanon

He’s pretty good at it, the way he makes a point to be good at anything he deems worth his while. He sort of has two modes–soft and lazy, when he’s tired or content or a little unsure about it, or absolute focus, as though every movement about it is calculated like any other skill he has. 

It’s not something he’s considered in a long time, though–it’s pleasant enough, he supposes, but like all forms of affection, it fell by the wayside for years and years, becoming at most something he does as a preclude to sex. But then he gets older, starts to work on himself more, admits that maybe he wants some of that affection, starts thinking about it a little too much in relation to whoever caught his eye. And once he’s gotten into a relationship, it becomes one of his favorite things for the closeness and the intimacy it offers. He’d happily sit around for hours that way. 

16.) Anger headcanon

Hanzo is quick to anger and it’s obvious. Someone can hurt his feelings and he might try to lock that down, but any sort of anger, from mild irritation to outright rage, is extremely apparent. Not only that, but he prefers anger, finds it easier to endure than hurt or sadness or other negative emotions, finds that at least with anger he can do something, or at least feel strong enough to do so. Seeing him get annoyed or irritated at everything can be frustrating. Seeing him genuinely enraged is terrifying.

6.) Hugging headcanon

McCree: best fucking hugs you’ll ever receive. He’s tall and broad and strong and literally wrapped in a blanket(-like article of clothing). He’d have to make a genuine effort to give a bad hug. He’s not inclined to just hand out hugs to anyone, but close friends and family and lovers will naturally get them. And he has a little bit of a soft spot, too, for just sitting around holding his partners in his arms, doing nothing at all--which might not be a true hug all the time, but is close enough, and just as good.

Hanzo: he is physically capable of a good hug. He’s strong and broad-shouldered that if you received one, and he likes you and isn’t actually trying to choke you to death, it would actually be very satisfying. The problem is that he is awkward and does not like touching people that much, so he only hugs very close friends  (McCree), Genji, and partners (also McCree). Trying to offer a hug that he does not initiate will at best result in an odd look and at worst being thrown into a wall.

Monster

Monster.   A monster is something very blurry for Erik. His family has been regarded as monsters for a thousand of years. He and his sisters were taken as babies and were going to get killed because they are thought as abominations, as monsters beyond any reason. But for him, a monster is someone who hurts his family. A monster is someone who comes at night and takes those he loves with no remorse or even guilt. He recognizes his family are monsters too, but blood is thicker than anything and he loves his family, his father might be a monster, but he is the monster in shining armor that protected him as a child.

Order Morality Loyalty Promise Betrayal

Order. Erik lives with two women most of his life, so there is order in the chaos that is his family. he is mostly a very tied up young man. But there is also the world order. He is part werewolf, and in the werewolf mentality, there is a pack mentality and a hierarchy, and his father is also a king in his eyes, so Erik has an order in his mind how things should be; his family at the top of it all and everyone else comes second to that thought.

Loyalty and Promise. His loyalty cannot be swayed. He is loyal to his family and their vow. He is even more loyal to his sister, even if he doesn’t agree with many things she does, Erik is one to follow and trust her, just as he trust his parents. He doesn’t open up easily to anyone, so if he starts revealing details and secrets, it means that you have his trust and in a way, a piece of his heart, small enough to allow a stranger into his world.

Betrayal. Betrayal seems unforgivable in this family and he has experimented that recently. Roman might had gone with Hope and make her trust him, but he also made Erik trust him, and he thought of him as his friend, and hearing of the news that he and Hope runaway together and then learning who he really was and what his actions led to, was enough to make the boy never forgive the other and he is sure that that trust cannot be mended. Another betrayal he might see, even if it can be mended, is the thought that his father betrayed him the moment he stopped sending letters and calls to the twins, the betrayal of a father to an unspoken vow to his children, however that one is bound to his family and he can forgive them.

Morality

Morality. Morality is something complicated for Erik. He knows good from bad, but the line is a very grey one, it’s blurry. Erik knew before Hope who their father really was, all the things he had done, even to their own family. What is good and what is bad? His entire family had done horrible things in honor of their vow and Erik has a secret hate for that tie they have to one another that drives them to be bad people. He wants to be good, he wants to be a force of good and use all of his power for it. But he is also fiercely protective of his family and he would be capable of killing someone in order to protect them. Specially as a teenager, Erik starts to feel the burden of the always and forever and what it implies.
