You know how cats stick their tails up when they’re contented? Well cat David has his tail up so much (as you can imagine) that there’s a little tuft of fur where his back meets the base of his tail that’s permanently pushed up into a little spike because the tail is always keeping it there. No matter how much or how many times the others try to groom it, it always stays that way. There was even a time when Max got so irritated with, (and I quote,) “David’s gravity-defying fuckery,” that he tried to groom it himself but instead of getting a small victory he got everyone thinking he was warming up to his mother-figure’s new mate. Cause cats groom each other n all that. It’s not weird.
