Balance of Doshas
Every person is born with a unique balance of each of the three doshas. We all have Vata, Pitta and Kapha in our constitution, but one or two of the doshas will dominate, which will determine the Ayurvedic routine for your mind/body type.
Here are some asanas, or poses, to practice to balance derangement of dosha. Please note that these are specifically to balance/stabilize vata.
VATA poses: Asanas that place pressure on the pelvic & colon areas. Asanas done with slow regular silent breathing. Meditative asanas that put pressure on lower abdomen and make body well grounded. Balancing asanas that increase concentration making Prana smoother & finer.
Side note: To keep vata in balance, avoid wind, caffeine, traveling, irregular routine & irregular meals.
